Food stands have been an integral part of The Sims games, gracing every location with delectable dishes and great decorations, and serving our Sims delightful munchies and drinks ever since The Sims: Hot Date. Apart from filling the hunger bar of our Sims, purchasing from these fancy food stands also saves them a lot of time in preparing and cooking meals. Well, if we love these stalls, we’re in luck! Through the creative duo Somik & Severinka, known for producing culinary crafts in The Sims 4, we now have the Functional Buffet mod—a new food stand for our game!

What are The Features of This Mod?

Come and check out the four main features of the Functional Buffet mod!

1. Get a Showcase and a Seller.

To be able to setup the Functional Buffet, go to Buy/Build Mode and head over to Appliances. In the Refrigerator category, we can find the Somik & Severinka showcase. This is available in three colors: white, brown, and gray. After purchasing this showcase, place it in the lot, and hire a seller, who will then man the stall.

2. Enjoy Plenty of Main Dishes.

There are over 11 main dishes that our Sims can order from the Functional Buffet. These are usually priced in the range of 20 to 30 simoleons. There are different variations in the meals. Pasta, vegetable, sea food, and meat dishes are up for grabs for all Sims. All in all, they can get these:

• Spaghetti Bolognese
• Steak and grilled vegetables
• Cod with potatoes
• Pilaf
• Pancakes with berries
• Stewed meat with vegetables
• Spaghetti with meat
• Risotto with sweet pepper
• Shrimp with vegetables
• Spaghetti and stew
• Salmon with vegetables

3. Have Some Servings of salad.

Salads are also available in the Functional Buffet! These are perfect for Sims who don’t want to eat heavy meals or who prefer vegetable-based dishes. Unlike the main dishes, salads come in lower prices, in the range of 10 to 20 simoleons. Here are all the available salads:

• Greek salad
• Avocado with herbs
• Vegetable salad with onions
• Iceberg lettuce and tomatoes
• Vegetable salad with strawberries
• Bean salad with crackers
• Potato salad with chicken

4. Choose From DIne-In Or Takeout.

Salads and main dishes come in various calorie counts, and each has its own description. When eaten daily, these meals can help our Sims gain, lose, or maintain their weights. Each of the dish comes in a black container with lid. Our Sims can decide whether they want to eat the food right away or have them them for takeout.

How to Install This Mod?

The Functional Buffet by Somik & Severinka is available for the base game of The Sims 4. To install this mod, just follow these easy steps:

1. Go to this CurseForge page and click the download button to obtain the said mod.
2. Once downloaded, extract the ZIP file and paste it into your Sims 4 Mods folder.
3. Then, make sure that the use of mods and custom content has been enabled in our game settings.
