The character customization in The Sims 4 is one of the best editions in the entire game. Not only do we have so much freedom to create our Sims however we like, but most other video games don’t even come close to the complexity of The Sims 4! And yes, true, we still miss the color wheel from The Sims 3, but other than that – we’re happy! So it’s really a challenge for us to not jump into the Create a Sim window and tweak some eyebrows or put a new hair every thirty minutes or so. Because the CAS Full Edit Mode Cheat makes it so damn easy!
If you haven’t heard by now, the CAS Cheat is a way to enter a Full Edit Mode in The Sims 4, which in turn lets you modify the looks of your Sims to the smallest of details. But not only that! You can also completely recreate your Sim from beginning to end. From her body type to her walking animation, relationships, traits, aspirations, and everything in between! Pretty sweet, huh?
The CAS Full Edit Mode Cheat gives you another attempt to create your Sims if you’ve noticed later that there is something that you don’t like about them. Or if you just want some change. And the best part about it is that you can use it whenever you want on whichever Sim your want, without limitations!
It is one of the most known and most shared cheats in our sims community, and if you don’t know it, then here’s how to use it!
How To Use the CAS Full Edit Mode Cheat in The Sims 4?
As always, to use any cheat in The Sims 4, you must first enable cheats in your game. Luckily, this is easily done through the command console, which you can trigger by holding down SHIFT + CTRL + C on your keyboard. And, if you type testingcheats true in the dialogue bar and hit enter, cheats usage will be activated in The Sims 4.
Then, to use the CAS Full Edit Mode Cheat, you must type cas.fulleditmode and hit enter again. If you’ve inserted the two cheat lines correctly, then proceed to the Sim you want to edit. And if you click on them while holding down the SHIFT button, a few bubbles of interactions will appear, including Modify in CAS. That is the one you’ll need to select.
Modify in CAS will take you directly to the Create a Sim screen, where you can re-do your characters all over again. Here, there are no restrictions to your edits, and you actually do some uncommon stuff like aging up or aging down your Sims.
And whenever you’re done, just continue playing!
Knowing the CAS Full Edit Mode Cheat is very valuable. And luckily, it’s a very easy cheat to remember too.
Not many video games can offer you this option to create your characters anew or change their looks in the middle of the gameplay.
