Get All Objects in Sims 4

It’s not difficult to unlock all items in Sims 4. In fact, it’s one of the easiest things you can do. And unlocking all items can be a great way to explore the game, especially if you’ve never done it before.

But, you don’t have to use cheats in Sims 4. You can earn all of your rewards the regular way. However, why should you struggle? Why not just cheat your way into wealth and have everything you want? Why not unlock all objects in Sims 4 and have them ready at all times.

Unlocking every object in the game requires no mods or CC. In fact, you’ll only need a couple of cheats to have every item in Sims 4 available for use.

So, let’s talk about how you can unlock these items.

What are the three types of cheats for unlocking all items?

There are three types of objects you can see in Sims 4, but can’t buy or add to your lot from the build/buy menu: gameplay unlocks, live edit objects, and debug mode unlocks. These are the cheats for unlocking each

  • bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement – This is a cheat for gameplay unlocks and gives you access to special career rewards and similar task-related unlocks and level-ups. Once unlocked, you will find them under different build/buy categories.
  • bb.showliveeditobjects – This is a cheat for live edit objects. It unlocks objects from the environment (open world) that you come across but can’t add to your lots, such as rocks, big statues, traffic signs, benches, or fences. To find these, simply browse through different build/buy categories.
  • bb.showhiddenobjects – This one allows you to access buy debug mode. With its help, you can access objects that your Sims use during gameplay, on community lots, and in the open world, that you otherwise don’t have in the build/buy menu, such as greenery, dirty laundry, rocks, statues, pans, plants, seeds, paint brushes, meals, etc. To access these, go to build/buy mode, type debug in the search box, and hit Enter. Or, search for a specific object by typing in its name (e.g. parsley).

These three cheats don’t interfere with one another, so you can activate all three to gain access to all three types of objects.

How to Unlock All Items in Sims 4?

With the cheats to unlock all items and objects in The Sims 4, you have complete freedom over your simming experience. You will no longer have to limit your creative ideas to the base game items only. Instead, you will have more options to explore your creativity.

These are the 3 main cheats you can use to unlock all items and objects in The Sims 4.

Here’s how you can unlock all items in Sims 4:

  1. Open the command console box by pressing down SHIFT + CTRL + C on your keyboard.
  2. Enable your cheats with “testingcheats true”.
  3. Insert one of these 3 cheats – “bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement”, “bb.showliveeditobjects”, or “bb.showhiddenobjects” (each one unlocks a different category of items).
  4. Close the command console box and find your items in the build mode.
  5. Repeat the process for all 3 cheats.

Now let’s check each of these 3 cheats in greater detail.

How to Unlock All Object-Based Items?

The first cheat we’ll be discussing here is bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement. This cheat is used to unlock all objective-based items and make them available for use. However, in order to make it work, you will first need to enable cheats in your game.

If you’ve never enabled cheats in The Sims 4, there is only one way to do it! You will need to jump in your game, then hit the combo of SHIFT + CTRL + C on your keyboard and insert the command testingcheats true in the dialogue bar. You can also use testingcheats on since it does the same job.

Think of enabling cheats as opening a door for all the other cheats in Sims 4. And this also includes the cheats for unlocking all items.

In this case, you will need to insert the bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement cheat after using the testingcheats true command. The cheat will make all of the object-based items appear in your menu. And when you search them up, you’ll see that you can buy them and use them however you want, just like any other item in the game!

How to Unlock All Building-Based Items?

The next cheat is what makes the whole building experience a pure joy for us at SnootySims! Whether it’s a whole building or a small cottage house, we really can’t play without this cheat on.

The cheat command is bb.showliveeditobjects and it unlocks all building-based items in The Sims 4.

Of course, you’ll need to have your cheats enabled if you want to activate this cheat too. This means that you need to apply the testingcheats true command if you haven’t done it already. Then simply add the bb.showliveeditobjects in the dialogue bar.

The bb.showliveeditobjects cheat is a great way to try new things when creating a new household. It’s definitely interesting to mess around with all the new choices, so don’t hesitate to try out the cheat, and definitely don’t be afraid to experiment!

How to Unlock All Hidden Items?

Remember those special items you see when your Sim performs a random action like brushing her teeth, for example? Well, the toothbrush they hold in their hands is an example of a hidden item that you can’t find anywhere in the build mode.

However, it’s totally possible to access these sorts of items and use them. And the only way to do so is with the bb.showhiddenobjects cheat.

To activate the cheat, you must go through the same steps as with the previous two cheats. The first thing is to enable the usage of cheats in your game if you haven’t done so already. Then add the bb.showhiddenobjects cheat command and you’re good to go. When you’re done, you will have all the hidden objects in The Sims 4 on your menu.

If you’re having trouble finding these items, try typing “debug” in the search bar of the build mode. These objects are also called buydebug items and they include everything from toothbrushes to mops. And you can use them for decorating your home!

How to Unlock All Items in Sims 4 on a PS4 and Xbox One?

Of course, on a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One you don’t have a keyboard. And if you’re playing the game on a console instead of a PC, there are a few things you’ll need to do differently.

Keep in mind that all of the steps are the same, except the process of enabling cheats and typing of the lines.

So, here’s how you can unlock all items in Sims 4 on PS4 and Xbox.

To enable cheats on an Xbox or PS4,  you must press the 4 triggers on the back of your controller – R1, R2, L1, and L2. This will open up the command console box. Then you’ll need to manually insert the testingcheats true command with your controller and activate it.

Once you’ve enabled cheats, you can start inserting the cheats to unlock all items in Sims 4 (bb.showhiddenobjects, bb.showliveeditobjects, and bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement).

And the rest is easy.

Cheating in The Sims 4 isn’t anything like cheating in other games. Here, the main thing is to have the best simming experience possible while also having lots of fun. And if the game permits you to do the things you really want to do, then why not cheat and create your own universe inside the game?

So, why should you use the cheats to unlock all items in Sims 4?

  • Access to hidden and unlockable items
  • Upgrade your build mode collection
  • Quicker and easier gameplay overall

We, at SnootySims, want freedom in Sims 4. We like to explore without limits and these 3 cheats help us enormously in that. If you’re like us and you aren’t afraid to try out new stuff, then we recommend them to you too! Happy simming!
