The Sims 4 Perk Points Cheats for Get to Work

If you own the Get to Work expansion for The Sims 4, then you probably know that your Sims can open up and run a business. With it, they can earn perk points and unlock retails perks, which in turn can make your store the hottest one in town! But what if you don’t want to spend so much time earning points and unlocking each perk in turn? Well, you are in luck! There are dozens of cheats to help you avoid all the hassle and have everything you need to be successful. Here they are, the best Sims 4 Perk Points Cheats!

What do Perk Points Do In Sims 4?

Perk points are meant to boost your Sim’s business. Some are meant to attract new customers, help you do your business more efficiently, and give you a boost in earnings, while others serve decorative purposes.

Although you can have employees help you when doing business, employees can’t earn you perk points. The only way to earn them is when your active Sim is hustling. There are three ways to gain perk points:

  1. Interact with customers (5 points)
  2. Make a sale (15 points)
  3. Restock an item (10 points)

Baskets in the retail perks menu will always be grayed out if you don’t have enough points to purchase them. However, they will also be grayed out even after you get them with cheats. So, to check which ones you bought, be it organically or with cheats, just hover over the basket symbol next to the perk you are curious about.

Why use perk points cheats?

If doubting whether or not to use cheats, this is how many perk points you’d need to collect to unlock perks WITHOUT cheats:

  • Placard: My First Simolean: 50 points
  • Provocative Pedestal perk: 100 points
  • Stunnign Sign: 150 points
  • Snazzy Shirt: 200 points
  • Register for Tomorrow: 250 points.
  • Superfluous Surplus: 300 points.
  • Additional Employee #1: 350 points
  • Faster Restocking #1: 400 points
  • Faster Checkouts #1: 450 points
  • Placard Fobbs: 500 points
  • Curious Shopper: 1000 points
  • Mega Manager: 1100 points
  • Additional Employee: 1200 points
  • Serious Shopper: 1300 points
  • Faster Checkouts:1400
  • Faster Restocking: 1400 points
  • Sure Sale: 2000 points
  • Slick Salesman: 2100 points
  • Instant Restocking: 2200 points
  • Cheaper Restocking: 2500 points

As you can see, while some don’t take long to unlock, buying a 2200 points perk will definitely take time. So, if you want fast results, cheats are definitely the way to go. They are irreversible for the business you apply them to, unless you sell your business, which will restart perks back to zero, so have that in mind.

How do Retail Perk Points Cheats Work?

For perk points cheats to work, besides activating cheats, your active Sim will need to own a business to gain access to all perks, and they will be the ones in control of the perks. After unlocking a specific perk (or perks) with cheats, retail perks will be available to them in the build/buy menu when visiting the retail lot.

Now, unfortunately, there is no universal cheat that allows you to add as many points as you like as we have with reward store points. In other words, to get any of the perks, you will have to use a cheat specific to the perk only, as cheats don’t actually change the number of perk points.

So, for instance, if you have 0 perk points before using cheats, you will still have 0 perk points after activating cheats. Cheats unlock perks and don’t affect points in general. For instance, using bucks.unlock_perk CustomerBrowseTime True cheat will only unlock the Curious Shopper perk, without adding 1000 perk points to your perk points account.

If you decide to sell the business, your previously purchased perks will be removed. This means you will need to play a new owner and use the perk cheats all over again if you want perks to still be active in that business.

Other Helpful Retail Cheats

If you want to gain perk points more organically, without buying perks via cheats, but still need some helping hand in earning perk points, we got your back. For your Sims to focus on what matters (such as interacting with customers to earn perk points), you’ll want your employees to help you with other tasks like cleaning or ringing up customers. These are the key Employee skills you’ll want them to have:

  • Maintenance Skill – This skill will make Sims restock items and clean the store faster. To max it out, type stats.set_skill_level retail_workethic 5
  • Sales Skill – When you want to get better at pitching a sale and ringing up customers, this is the skill you’ll want to develop. To max it out, type stats.set_skill_level retail_maintenance 5
  • Work Ethic – Make Sims develop this one, and they will stop slacking at work. To max it out, type stats.set_skill_level retail_sales 5

To be efficient, try to add an employee to your family via Click+Shift on the employee>Add To Family, apply cheats on them, and once you are done, Remove From Family. Instead of number 5, you can use any number from 1-5, depending on the skill level you want Sims to reach.

Conclusion

The Perk Points Cheats can save you a lot of time and help you establish the dream business for your Sims. The perks are really a necessity for every business, so grabbing them as soon as possible is essential. So, why go through all the trouble every time you open up a shop? Especially when you have such a simple solution to cheat your way to success! That’s the way we do it at SnootySims!
