Toddlers bring joy to many Sims players, but they can also be difficult to handle! Cut yourself and your sim parents a break and make the job easier with Toddlers Cheats.

Toddler Cheats

Family gameplay is a huge aspect of The Sims 4 community, to the point that people were aghast when the game originally launched without Toddlers. Though it took a couple of years, EA finally got the hint and added the Toddler life state at the beginning of 2017.

As lovable as Toddlers can be though, much like their real-life counterparts they are not easy to handle. They have wants & needs like their older family members but far fewer means to tend to them, not to mention so many skills to learn and experiences to have as they grow! Depending on how you like to play and how large a household is, trying to keep your Toddler appeased can feel like an almost impossible feat. Thankfully we have a solution for our sims—cheats. While Toddlers IRL have to be handled the old-fashioned way, our sim parents can get a much-needed hand by way of Toddlers cheats!

Cheating Your Way to a Content Toddler

It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to keep your Toddler’s basic needs filled, looking to advance their skills, or just trying to get them in a better mood; there’s likely a cheat you can use to achieve it.

Toddlers Cheats: Filling Needs

At a minimum, if you want your sims to grow up properly their needs should be well-maintained. Cheating those needs can make things much easier for you, so you can focus on developing their skills and personalities while juggling the remaining household members.

After you’ve activated TestingCheats and selected your Toddler as the Active sim, enter the needed toddlers cheats:

Toddler Cheats: Skills

Once your Toddler’s needs are met, the next area you should focus on improving is their skills. Maxing out Toddler skills can grant beneficial Bonus Traits that will help them throughout their lives, so they’re really important to master!

The following cheats are written out to reach the max level of the associated Skill, but you can change them to whatever level you want by changing the final digit in the cheat to the desired level. Note that the Potty skill maxes out at level 3 unlike the other Toddler skills; if you try to set a skill to a level beyond its max the cheat won’t work.

Toddlers Cheats: Character Values & Traits

If you have The Sims 4 Parenthood pack, sims can learn Character Values that may shift & change over time, and once a sim reaches Young Adulthood they may earn traits based on where their Values lie.

Toddlers are still young and have barely grown into their character (let alone possessing values that align with that character), but you can get them started young by setting their manners. It’s never too early to learn basic courtesy, after all!

Sim has Bad Manners Traittraits.equip_trait BadManners

You can also give your Toddlers a boost with Bonus Traits. These traits are typically rewarded when your Toddler reaches (or you cheat them to) specific skill levels, but you can skip all of the rigmarole and give them these Bonus Traits directly:

Bonus TraitCheat
Happy Toddler – Reach level 3 in all Toddler Skillstraits.equip_trait trait_happy_toddler
Top-Notch Toddler – Max all Toddler Skillstraits.equip_trait trait_top_notch_toddler
In addition to these special traits, you can use cheats to add or remove regular CAS traits too. They’re great for giving your Toddlers additional traits instead of the default 1, or changing things up if you’re not enjoying the gameplay that comes with a specific Toddler trait. Toddlers Cheats: Buffs

Now that our Toddler has all their needs met and their skills are maxed, it’s time to let loose a little! Use the following cheats to give your Toddlers buffs that will make them want to run around and play:

Energized Buffsims.add_buff EnergizedHigh
Playful Buffsims.add_buff PlayfulHigh

Toddlers Cheats: Quirks

Quirks are like a temporary trait that your Toddler can develop independently, which can have varying degrees of effect on how your sim behaves. Unlike other cheats here that require specific codes to unlock, accessing Quirks takes only the TestingCheats cheat to activate.

In order to access these Quirks, SHIFT+Click in your Toddler, select Pack Cheats→Expansion Packs→Get Together→Toddler Quirks→Add Discoverable Quirk where you’ll be given a list of Quirks to choose from (there’s also an option to Remove Quirks if your Toddler already has some). There are 18 Quirks to choose from and you can have as many as you want.

Closing Thoughts

Raising a Toddler can be very rewarding, but also very exhausting and time-consuming. While there aren’t many “hacks” for the real experience, there are lots of ways to make it easier on yourself and your sims in the world of The Sims 4 with Toddler cheats. Use them occasionally to give yourself a little break, or go wild and cheat your way to the perfect Toddler. No matter how you use these cheats, what’s important is that you’re enjoying yourself. Have fun with them, and happy simming!
