Kawaiistacie, a popular modder in our Sims community, is back with a fresh mod called Special Holidays! Explore what this mod is all about, right here!
What Is The Special Holidays Mod?
Holidays have joined our game the moment The Sims 4: Seasons came out in the market. There is a plethora of exciting pre-made holidays in the calendar system, but there are a lot of missing essential holidays, too. Well, good thing there’s a new mod to address that issue! The Special Holidays Mod is a new release from popular Simmer and Mod Creator, Kawaiistacie. Launched on her Patreon in March 2024, the said new mod adds 8 new holidays and 3 surprise holidays to the calendars of our Sims. Since holidays in The Sims 4 are an incredible aspect of the game, the said mod is worth downloading especially if we have a big household that loves to take part in holiday traditions and share the fun.

What Are The New Events In The Sims 4 Special Holidays Mod?
A total of 11 holidays are added to the game when we install the Special Holidays Mod. When we open the household calendar of our Sims, 8 of these events can already be viewed, sprawled throughout the multiple dates in the calendar. However, 3 of these come as a surprise! We’ll just never know when they suddenly occur in the game. Below, we can read about the details of each of these events.
1. Summerfest
When summer rolls around, our Sims can gather with family and friends and do water activities that will help them beat the heat! They can also participate in a full day of drinking and grilling barbecue. But the best way to top the day is fireworks at night!
Summerfest holiday traditions:
- Party Spirit
- Drinking
- Bar-B-Que
- Fireworks
- Water Fun
2. Familyfest
Familyfest is a time for the entire family to put off other responsibilities such as work and school, to be able to take a day or two to unwind and spend time together. The most fun way to do this is to let the household go on a much-needed vacation!
Familyfest holiday traditions:
- Tell Stories
- Grand Meal
- Free Hugs
- Go on a Vacation or Travel
- Party Spirit
3. Wellness Day
Wellness Day is one of our favorite special holidays from this mod. The point of this day is to let our Sims relax and focus on self-care, to calm their minds and bodies. The traditions include exercising, airing grievances, and more. But if we think about it, we should have a Wellness Day every day (not just for our Sims, but also for ourselves, really)!
Wellness Day traditions:
- Cleaning
- Decorate
- Self Care
- Air Grievances
- Exercise
4. Spookyfest
Harvestfest is a great holiday in The Sims 4 that focuses on the traditions of fall, but it’s not enough. Nope! During autumn, there should also be an actual spooky holiday to celebrate all things creepy in The Sims 4! Good thing this mod addresses that need, giving us the exciting Spookyfest!
Spookyfest holiday traditions:
- Wear Costumes
- Trick or Treat
- Mischief Spirit
- Pumpkins
- Spooky Spirit
5. Springfest
Springfest is another awesome holiday to look forward to, through this Special Holidays mod by Kawaiistacie. It involves having some water fun and games, meeting the Flower Bunny, and more. Please remember to respect the Flower Bunny and do not force it to give our Sims some eggs or else a fight might break out!
Springfest holiday traditions:
- Flower Bunny
- Grand Meal
- Egg Hunt
- Games
- Water Fun
6. Parents’ Day
Much like the Familyfest, Parents’ Day is another new holiday that allows our Sims to focus on the members of the family, particularly, the parents. It’s a time for our Sims to give out a lot of hugs and appreciation for their mothers, fathers, and guardians. To make things even more memorable, they can even go out on a trip!
Parents’ Day holiday traditions:
- Thankful Spirit
- Free Hugs
- Give Flowers
- Give Gifts
- Go on a Vacation or Travel
7. Green Day
This one’s for all the eco-loving and green thumb Sims out there! Termed as the Green Day (nope, not the band!), this holiday has been created to celebrate the wonders of the earth. During this day, Sims can do some gardening, give flowers, and even go streaking to show full support for the holiday!
Green Day holiday traditions:
- Gardening
- Give Flowers
- Go on a Vacation or Travel
- Water Fun
- Streaking
8. Day of Grief
This is another holiday that we totally appreciate in this mod! This is an event that we have also already created in the past, to let our Sims commemorate their loved ones who have passed away. We think it’s really tender to be able to devote a full holiday to honor and respect the Sims who have gone on early in life and left lasting memories to their friends and families, in the world of Sims.
Day of Grief holiday traditions:
- Festive Lighting
- Appreciate an Object
- Grand Meal
- Spooky Spirit
- Remembrance
New Surprise Holidays
As we have mentioned above, there are three surprise holidays introduced in the Special Holidays mod. These are Pizza Day, Kids Day, and Beer Day! Get to know all of these exhilarating events for our Sims below!
9. Pizza Day
Pizza Day is a secret holiday that will let Sims devour all flavors of pizza for an entire day, minus the guilt! It’s the ultimate chance to order plenty of pizza boxes and hold a cool pizza party, complete with guests and cool music.
10. Kids’ Day
There’s Parents’ Day for our Sims, as introduced above, so of course, there should also be an equivalent for the young ones—Kids’ Day! This day should be all about our little Sims, from the infants up to the teens. It’s a day to celebrate their beautiful and creative minds and recognize the paths they are forging into the world.
11. Beer Day
Beer Day is the third surprise holiday for our Sims. It is about—you’ve guessed it right—a day for drinking beer and having a lot of party spirit! Our Sims can spend this day together and not worry about tomorrow. They can simply focus on the carefree aspects of their lives. Well, cheers to that!
