Sims 4 can sometimes be an incredibly complex video game. Sure, TS4 has been out for a long time, and we know most of the things that can happen. But even to a veteran simmer such as myself, the game can still surprise me. I recently had to learn how to make a toast in Sims 4, and I couldn’t believe how simple it really is. I had never actually done that, so I was pretty happy when I discovered this method.

But why do you need to know how to make a toast in Sims 4?

If you play The Sims 4 – believe me, you need to know this! Making a toast may not be the most essential piece of advice I can give you, but it’s damn helpful. The game will require your Sim to make a toast in many situations, and you won’t be able to complete this goal if you don’t know what to do and where to click.

It mostly happens at birthday parties. When you host a birthday party event for a Sim, the game gives you a goal to “Have an Adult Make a Toast.” And like any other goal in any other event, this has to be completed if you want to earn the golden rewards. 

It can be pretty confusing finding the “Make a Toast” interaction in Sims 4. And honestly, sometimes it doesn’t work, even if you’ve found it and clicked on it. However, here’s my preferred way to do this, and it guarantees you that you’ll complete the “Have an Adult Make a Toast” goal in Sims 4!

How to make an adult Sim perform a toast in Sims 4? Here are the instructional steps:

• 1 Step: Host an event for your Sim and invite their Sim friends.
• 2 Step: Order drinks for the entire group of friends.
• 3 Step: Make sure your friends are drinking at the moment or at least are holding the drinks in their hands.
• 4 Step: Select your own Sim.
• 5 Step: Click on the Sim you want to toast to and then select More Choices > Friendly > Make a Toast.

Now, when I say that drinking or holding the drinks is important, it really is. And here’s why.

If you have only one Sim holding a drink and you click on the “Make a Toast” interaction, chances are that nothing will happen. And you can try clicking again and again but always get the same result. This is because the game is made, so your Sims have to hold drinks in their hands in order for an adult to make a toast!

Another rule is that the two Sims must be friends if you want to make a toast between them. This is because you won’t be able to find the interaction to make a toast since it’s in the “Friendly” section. 

But if you are already at a birthday party with your Sim friends and you need to complete the “Have an Adult Make a Toast,” this is how to do it!
