Slumber Parties are now officially a thing in The Sims 4! Full of practical tips, this guide will help us throw a special and memorable Slumber Party for our Sims!

Slumber Parties in The Sims 4
In the past, there used to be a Sleepover Mod for The Sims 4, which lets our Sims throw fun and memorable slumber parties with their friends. Now though, through the launch of The Sims 4: Growing Together expansion pack, it has been officially possible to throw slumber parties within the game. Yup! The EP introduced this said event, together with Family Reunions and Baby Showers, to incorporate more realistic life experiences for our Sims and their families and friends. Read on to discover more about throwing a Slumber Party in The Sims 4, and learn some secret tips that we included!
What is The Purpose of a Slumber Party

In The Sims 4, a Slumber Party is a chance for our Sims to get together and spend the entire night creating wonderful memories. Through this event, which costs 240 simoleons, they can spend the evening telling fantastic stories to one another, having the craziest pillow fights, chatting like there’s no tomorrow, and of course, sleeping together like cute little peas in a pod! We can choose to let our Sims have a Non-Goaled Event wherein there are no particular activities to follow, or we can select the Goaled Event, wherein completing certain activities can let them earn the following Challenge Rewards:
- Bronze Rewards – Getting a Bronze Reward will grant our Sims with 50 simoleons.
- Silver Rewards – Completing the Goaled Event with Silver Rewards will grant our Sims a Sleeping Bag for Toddlers.
- Gold Rewards – When our Sims successfully get Gold Rewards for the Goaled Event, they will be able to obtain Sleeping Bags for everyone else.

How To Throw The Best Slumber Party
It’s easy to have a dull Slumber Party in The Sims 4, but if we know all the right strings to pull during this event, our Sims can have the best night of their lives!
1. Select the Celebrant.

Before anything else, there are two ways to throw a Slumber Party in The Sims 4—via the Phone and the Calendar.
- Via The Phone – Click on the Phone, and head on to the Socials tab. Select “Plan Social Event” from the list, and choose the Slumber Party.
- Via The Calendar – Click on the Calendar. On the bottom left of the interface, select “Add Event”, and choose the Slumber Party.
Once we have initiated the Slumber Party event interface, we need to choose the host of the Slumber Party. The host will be responsible for leading the night of fun for our Sims, so make sure to choose a well-prepared Sim! Children to Elder Sims can be selected for this role. Only one Sim is required, but two Sims can also be picked as hosts.
2. Invite Sims!

Once we have chosen the host for the Slumber Party, it’s time to select the invitees for the event! We can mix the guests, as both young and old Sims are eligible to join the fun. A maximum of 8 Sims can be invited, but only 2 are required for the event. The more Sims we invite, the more thrilling the Slumber Party will be!
3. Choose a Venue.

Next, we can now choose the venue where our Sims will spend the night. Of course, we can simply select the residence of the host Sim as the Slumber Party headquarters, but to make the experience extra special, we can choose community lots available. For example, why not let our Sims have a sleepover at the museum? This experience totally screams A Night at The Museum vibes.
4. Set Up Sleeping Bags.

When the host, guests, and venue have been officially decided, it’s time to start the adventure. Once our Sims have settled on the lot, click on the host Sim and let them invite everyone to set up their sleeping bags, by choosing “Ask Guests to Set Up Sleeping Bags.” The invited Sims would then whip out their sleeping bags on the floor. A pro tip: Since our Sims will just randomly spread these beds around, we can choose to align these sleeping bags in a row to make them look orderly.
5. Eat Great Food.

Part of the Goaled Event is to have Sims eat at the same time. To do this, we can let our Sims prepare a meal beforehand, order some food, or get food ready by utilizing Banquet Tables from Build Mode. Alternatively, through our host Sims, we can click on any invited Sim and select the “Get Slumber Party Snacks” option, which will instantaneously grant our Sim a box of pizza to their inventory. Yey, some pizza slices for sharing!
6. Tell The Best Stories.

To make the night more awesome, it’s essential to keep chatting through the interactions available in the social pie menu and to share stories with each other. We can click on the sleeping bag to select the storytelling interaction. Here, we can see that there will be a variety of stories that our Sims can tell!
7. Make Sure Everyone is Having Fun!

Before letting them go to sleep, we should make sure that our Sims and their invited friends have had a lot of fun together. Here are a couple of ways to do this:
- Have pillow fights
- Take photos
- Play with toys together
- Make a mess
Other Slumber Party Things to Remember
For Goaled Events, we must let our Sims accomplish the challenges that appear on the left part of the screen. Completing a couple of these will allow them to gain Rewards by the end of the event. Remember that Goaled Events are timed, thus, we must make the most out of the few hours our Sims have been given, or else, they will not be able to complete the challenge. However, if we want to do things our way and just let our Sims enjoy a pressure-free Slumber Party, we should opt for a Non-Goaled Event instead.

Whether we choose a Goaled or Non-Goaled Event, here are a couple of things to consider that will help our Sims have a Slumber Party to remember:
- Going to sleep – When it’s time to sleep, click on the host Sim to let them initiate sleeping time, by selecting “Time to Go to Sleep.”
- Making friends – Before throwing the Slumber Party, allow young Sims to make friends at school first! This will then help unlock more Sims to invite during the planning stage of the event.
