The Reaper’s Rewards Event has begun! Here’s how to complete it and earn those sweet Rewards.
As part of the Autumn 2024 Roadmap for The Sims 4, the Reaper’s Rewards Event kicks off today. This Event is much more involved than the Daily Login Rewards Event, so let’s go over how to participate and unlock all of those great Rewards!
The Reaper’s Rewards Event – How To Play
This Event is available to all players and does not need any DLCs to complete.
When you first launch The Sims 4 you will be greeted with a screen that lets you know the Event has begun, with an outline of the current rewards that are available. In Week 1, there are 3 new rewards to earn along with a few existing Skill building books that will help you further on in the Event. The overarching goals of the Reaper’s Rewards Event are to befriend Grim and master the recipe for Ambrosia, and each week your sim will work further towards those goals.
Every week your sim will have 2 new Quests to complete. For Week 1 of the Reaper’s Rewards Event, your sim should start learning about Ambrosia with the help of the Ambrosia Society Newsletter which arrives by mail. If you’re in a rush and don’t want to wait for delivery, you can expedite the process by choosing “Expedite Mail Delivery” on your mailbox or mobile phone under Home for a cost of §103. This newsletter will help your sims through the process of making Ambrosia and even offers lessons on the different Skills needed to craft it. You will also have to talk to your neighbors to learn more about the elusive dish.
Quests related to the Event will live in the upper-left corner of your screen, so you can check in anytime to see your progress for each one. You can choose to complete one weekly Quest at a time, or juggle multiple if you’re a motivated multitasker!
Unlocking Rewards
As your sim completes the challenges they will earn Event Points (abbreviated to “EP”), which you can spend on the Rewards screen to unlock the different prizes. Items with larger prize tiles, such as the Grimophone, are objects that only have to be unlocked once and are then available on your entire account. Prizes with smaller tiles, like the Skill building books, are single-use and only available to the sim/household that the reward is claimed with.
The Grimophone is a prize you will definitely want to unlock ASAP if you’re participating in the Reaper’s Rewards Event, as it allows you to summon Grim to the lot which will make socializing with & befriending him much easier.
Reaper’s Rewards Event Duration
Every week there are 2 new Quests, for a total of 12 Quests over 6 weeks. Don’t worry if you start late or get busy though, as the Event will run for 8 weeks total so you have time to catch up. The Reaper’s Rewards Event dates are 24 September – 19 November. Between this Event and the Life & Death EP dropping on Halloween, October is going to be a very busy month for simmers!
Still Need Help With The Event?
If you need additional information or have more questions about the Reaper’s Rewards Event, there’s a nifty help video available on the title screen for The Sims 4. It’s just over 3 minutes long and goes into how the Event works, along with some tips for making it through Week 1 challenges.
You can also find a shortened version (1 min) of the Tutorial video along with more info about the Event here.
Final Thoughts
That’s the rundown of the Reaper’s Rewards Event! It’s timed perfectly for the spooky season, and you get to cap it all off with the release of the Life & Death EP towards the end of the Event period. Are you excited about this Event? How do you feel about the challenges compared to the previous Daily Login Rewards Event? Do you want to see more Events like this in the future?
