Sims who want to grow harvestables of supreme quality need to put in the work to fertilize, water, weed, and care for every plant in their garden. The great news is that you can totally have a beautiful garden without much effort. And the trick? You guessed it – gardening cheats! Cheats can help your Sim master gardening skill, get rare plants, advance in the Gardener career, or even control how plants grow and evolve. Let’s see how!

How To Enable Cheats In Sims 4?

For cheats to work in Sims 4, we always need to enable them. To do that, simply launch your game, type testingcheats true or testingcheats on in the dialogue bar, and hit Enter. To open the dialogue bar, just press the following buttons simultaneously:

• PC: Ctrl + Shift + C
• Mac: Command + Shift + C
• PlayStation: L1 + R1 +L2 + R2
• Xbox: LB + RB + LT +RT

If all goes well, you’ll be notified that cheats are enabled. Now you can start using gardening cheats (or any other cheats you like)!

1. Improve Your Gardening Skills With Cheats!

Mastering the gardening skill is the key to being a good gardener, as it unlocks essential interactions every gardener needs. To help your Sims learn these skills, you’ll be using the stats.set_skill_level Major_Gardening # cheat. Gardening is a major skill in Sims 4 and has 10 levels. So, for the cheat to work, simply replace the ”#” symbol at the end of the cheat with any number from 1-10.

For instance, to max it out, just type stats.set_skill_level Major_Gardening 10, hit Enter. You should immediately get notified that your Sim has just mastered the gardening skill!

2. Control Plant Evolution, Growth, or Seasonality With Gardening Cheats

Having testingcheats true cheat activated opens the doors for some cool cheat options. With this cheat, you can control the growth stage, evolution, seasonality, how hydrated your plant it, or deal with insects and weeds. Simply go to a plant in your garden, Shift + click on it, and select the ‘Set Gardening State’ option. This will open a new menu where you can control how your plants develop. These are the options you’ll get:

• Growth stage (Dying, Planted, Sprouting, Mature, Blossoming) – This will help you skip hours or days needed to grow a plants

• Plant Evolution (Withered, Devolved, On-Track, Ready to Evolve) – If you chose the ‘Ready to Evolve!” option, the cheat should immediately unlock the Evolve option, allowing you to evolve your plant to the next level.

• Plant Seasonality (Dormant, In Season, Out of Season) – While some plants flourish all year round, some are seasonal and will be affected by seasons.

• Insects (Infested, A Few Bugs, Bug-Free) – This will help you control insects.

• Moisture (Arid, Dry, Moist, Wet, Sodden) – Controls how hydrated your plant is

• Weeds (Overgrown, Weedy, Weed-Free, Mulched) – This will help you control weeds in your garden.

3. Get Different Plant Species With One Cheat

Looking for Dragon Fruit, or any other rare plant? You can spend time grafting plants or looking for them in the wilderness. Or, you can get them with bb.showhiddenobjects cheat! Type this cheat in the cheat bar, and head to the build/buy to search for the type of plant you are looking for. You can find plants of all rarities this way!

Once you find the plant you are looking for, just drag it, place it in your garden, and get your Sim to plant it. However, know that getting plants this way isn’t free. The cheat just unlocks hidden objects (in this case plants), so if you need some extra simoleons for purchasing seeds, just use money cheats!

4. Get Ahead In The Gardener Career

Some Sims may love gardening so much and decide to make it their career! If your Sim has this job and hopes to advance, cheats can help you in this department as well. To make them advance to the next level in Gardener career, type careers.promote adult_gardener in the cheat bar, hit Enter, and the game will notify you that your Sim has just been promoted. This cheat will help them advance one level at a time, so if you want to help them reach level 10 from level 1, you’ll need to type the cheat 9 times.

If you ever decide to demote them, just type careers.demote adult_gardener, and this will trigger a demotion to the previous career level.
