The Reaper’s Rewards Event kicks off in a few days, but if you can’t wait to see what’s coming we’ve got a sneak peek!
As part of the 2024 Autumn Roadmap a login event called the Reaper’s Rewards Event is kicking off on 24 September. We’ve got more details about login events here, but the gist is that you log into the EA app every day to unlock more & more free goodies. Last time around we got a dartboard, some jewelry, a mini fridge and bar, a hairstyle, a pillow, a vending machine, and a new Trait.
With this being the Autumn season and the next big Expansion Pack being focused on life & death, it’s no surprise that the Reaper’s Rewards are Grim-themed. Here’s everything we’ve found in the game files so far!
Reaper’s Rewards – CAS
We can expect a new spooky outfit as part of Reaper’s Rewards, along with awesome earrings, a sick tattoo, and some interesting eyes.
Earrings Of Imminent Demise
A fun pair of asymmetrical earrings featuring a skeleton hand on one ear and some rings with a fun little scythe on the other!
Launches: Week 1
Trad Goth Jeans
Gothic themed jeans in lots of colors and patterns, these babies will look great with clothing from Paranormal Stuff, Goth Galore Kit, and more!
Launches: Week 2
Trad Goth Buckled Boots
Channel your inner Reaper or Pirate with these gothic boots that have a fun skeleton buckle detail!
Launches: Week 3
One Grim Tattoo
A tattoo of Grim with some butterflies not unlike his Tarot card from the reveal trailer in a single swatch for the upper right arm.
Launches: Week 4
Trad Goth Button-Up
This top is so detailed! We love all the patterns and the fun pointed tails at the bottom.
Launches: Week 5
Prowling Peepers Eyes
Mysterious grey-purple eyes with a catlike pupils, and they’re so pretty!
Launches: Week 6
Reaper’s Rewards – Buy Mode
A few interesting and useful objects along with more Freezer Bunnies that you can shake a carrot at! Some of these objects have already been unlocked by players and can be found on the Gallery in Rooms.
The Grimophone
“A supernatural sound system with a direct line to Grim himself, allowing his mortal acquaintances to summon him day or night. It can also play your favorite tunes, if you’re into that sort of thing.”
In addition to playing music, sims can try to summon Grim to them with this object!
Cost: §655
Launches: Week 1
Scare Seeker Lot Trait
I couldn’t figure out how to get the details on this Lot Trait, but based on the title it’s likely to be a lot that’s extra haunted, or a place where NPC “Ghost Hunters” spawn in. I’m excited to see if I’m right!
Launches: Week 1
The Green Lady’s Lost Tome
“Once thought lost in the Von Haunt Estate fire of 1898, this treatise contains the secrets to making Ambrosia and appears to have been authored by Lady Mimsy Alcorn Shallot herself.”
Based on the texture this book appears to be a propped-up decoration, but in-game it behaves like a regular book. Reading it causes a cool smokey effect to emit from the pages, and it might raise your sims’ Cooking, Gourmet Cooking, and Fishing Skills!
Cost: §300
Launches: Week 2
Grim’s Cruiser
“Travel the mortal realm in style with this faithful replica of the Grim Reaper’s cruiser bike!”
A black bicycle with a miniature Cowplant skull on the handlebars and a coffin-shaped basket full of Death Flowers in the back. Unfortunately it doesn’t have Grim’s cool smoke effect when you ride it, though.
Cost: §110
Launches: Week 3
Portrait of Lady Mimsy Alcorn Shallot in the Garden
“A portrait of Lady Mimsy Alcorn Shallot enjoying an afternoon in the gardens of the Von Haunt estate. Some people say they’ve seen the painting move, but that’s probably just an urban legend, right?”
There’s a spooky result that occurs when sims “View” this painting, but we’ll leave that for you to discover on your own!
Cost: §485
Launches: Week 4
Spectral Spritzer
Technically this isn’t a Buy Mode item, but it’s something you’d be able to find in the catalog with the Debug Cheat activated. This drink will allow your sim to temporarily become a ghost when consumed!
Launches: Week 5
Casket of Quiet Repose
“A traditional burial casket adorned with a floral skull inspired by the Grim Reaper himself. This model has been fitted with extra padding and sound proofing, guaranteeing a peaceful rest for the occupant.”
Sims4Studio has this object tagged as a Bed, so Vampires might not be the only ones getting a hauntingly deep slumber anymore! It’s also possible this object will tie in with the Life & Death Expansion Pack, as there are additional options to “Engrave Epitaph” and “Read Epitaph” like there would be on a gravestone or urn.
Cost: §850
Launches: Week 6
Collectible Freezer Boneys
There’s also a group of 6 spooky Freezer Bunny collectibles called Freezer Boneys, but it’s not clear yet how to earn them. It’s probably related to an in-game challenge or as part of one of the other reaper’s rewards.
Original Freezer Boney
“A supremely skeletal Freezer Boney. It would be much more terrifying to stumble upon one of these if they weren’t so darn cute.”
Cost: §75
Starborn Freezer Boney
“A Freezer Boney from beyond our solar system. Its plastic frame shimmers with the vastness of a distant galaxy.”
Cost: §75
Sugar Skull Freezer Boney
“A colorful Freezer Boney calavera, commemorating The Day of the Dead. This Freezer Boney is often placed upon the ofrendas of departed Sims.”
Cost: §75
Metallic Freezer Boney
“A Freezer Boney so shiny, you can see your reflection in it… assuming you have one.”
Cost: §75
Plush Freezer Boney
“An exceptionally fluffy Freezer Boney for those cold nights when you want to curl up on the couch, wrap yourself in a cozy blanket, and ponder your own mortality.”
Cost: §145
Glow-in-the-Dark Freezer Boney
“Sporting an eerie green glow, this Freezer Boney is the perfect companion for a late-night goth rave.”
Cost: §230
Final Thoughts
The Reaper’s Rewards Event has a lot of cool stuff, and in my personal opinion the theming makes it much better than what we earned for the last Login Rewards Event. Do you agree or disagree? Is there an item you’re most looking forward to unlocking? With this Event we’re officially kicking off spooky season in The Sims 4 which is one of the best times of year! We hope you love the new Rewards and we’ll see you next week. Happy simming!🪦
