The 411 on Olive Specter

Every incarnation of the sims games has pre-made sims in all the different neighborhoods. This includes the original Sims, The Sims 2, The Sims 3, and finally the Sims 4. Some of these are more popular than others. It really just depends on how interesting the sim and their storyline are!

One such sim is called Olive Specter who appeared in three of the main sims games. In this article we are going to break down everything there is to know about her so that by the end of it, she is no longer a stranger to you.

If you want to play her in the Sims 4, the latest version of her, download the base game here.

Sims 2: Creepy occasions?

In Sims 2, Olive Specter is an elder female living in Strangetown with her niece Ophelia Nigmos. She is employed as a Professional Party Guestm which is basically just a slacker career. Hey, working is not for everyone now, is it?

Olive was born to parents Peponi and Lerato Muenda, both of who are deceased. Her sister Willow Nigmos, mother of Ophelia Nigmos, is also deceased.

Olive’s Husbands’ deaths… what happened?

One of the creepy things about Olive is that death seems to follow her. A lot. She has had a total of four romances, which are the following:

  • Earl E. DeMise, her fiance, died of electrocution.
  • Hugh Thanasia, her first husband, died in a fire.
  • Rigger Mortis, the third husband, also died in a fire.
  • Finally, her fourth and most recent husband is Ichabod Specter who died of old age.

Out of all her husbands, Ichabod is probably the most luckily of them all because he managed to die of old age and not be murdered.

Another interesting or weird thing about Olive, depending on how you look at it, is that she has a son called Nervous Subject which is the result of a hookup with the literal Grim Reaper. Yes, you read that right.

The child was taken away by a social worker when he was young so she never raised him. If you happen to play Olive until her eventual death, her money and everything will go to the Nervous subject, rather than her niece.

Trust us when we say that when Ophelia finds out about this, she is not happy one bit.

Sims 3: Vegetable Slicer!

In Sims 3, Olive Specter has a career as a vegetable slicer and has the following traits:

  • Bookworm
  • Unlucky
  • Light Sleeper
  • Friendly
  • Commitment Issues

She has a lifetime wish of living in the lap of luxury. However, what she should have a lifetime wish of is being a black widow! This is very unfortunate for all of her husbands and lovers who find themselves at the receiving end of her rage.

The following beaus died under mysterious circumstances:

  • Hugh Thanasia perished in a fire.
  • Rigger Mortis perishes after being electrocuted.
  • Ichabod Specter dies after also being electrocuted.

Hugh Thanasia, Rigger Mortis, and Ichabod Specter have all died odd deaths. Have some been murdered? Well, possibly. None of her beaus really are very lucky. Then again, neither is her son Nervous Subject.

Once again, Nervous Subject is born from a hookup with the Grim Reaper. The child has once again been taken by social services so perhaps it is lucky that the child was not raised by his (allegedly) murderous mother.

It is a similar backstory that you find in Sims 2 with the exception that Olive Specter is an adult. Her niece does not seem to be a part of her family, which is good given the fact that people seem to randomly die of suspicious deaths around Olive Specter.

Sims 4: Where is she located?

We reach the final game Olive Specter appears in. Unfortunately, Olive is not a pre-made sim in one of the actual neighborhoods. She was released by Maxis on The Sims 4 Gallery and can be found there. You would have to add the household to your gallery and then move them into an empty lot or house.

Olive Specter Traits

This version of Olive Specter is an elder with the following traits:

  • Neat
  • Mean
  • Noncommittal
  • Alluring

She has the aspiration of serial romantic, which is kind of tongue in cheek considering she is a serial murderer. Allegedly.

Her roommate in The Sims 4 is Ophelia Specter, who is originally her niece in Sims 2. However, in this game, they are not related at all. They are nothing more than roommates.

Olive does not seem to have a child either this time. Nervous Subject is is another household in The Sims 4– the Beaker Household to be exact. The two do not even know each other.

This is probably for the best given that Olive can’t seem to keep Nervous Subject in her custody for long. Eventually, the social worker always seems to have to step in and whisk the child away.

Is Olive Specter in the Sims 4?

Thanks to the Sims 4 gallery, you can download versions of Olive Specter with Nervous Subject being her son or Ophelia being her niece. Perhaps both! Just look through and you are sure to find some premade sims that have been uploaded onto the gallery.

Might take a while to find the right one, but eventually, you will. It just takes a little bit of patience and perseverance to find a premade sim household in the gallery that you want to take out and add to one of the neighborhoods.

Final Thoughts

And there we have it. You have finally learned everything there is to know about the very, very deadly Olive Specter. She is a mysterious individual and a dangerous one at that due to how many people die around her. I mean, in Sims 2 she literally has a graveyard on her property of people who have died.

Yeah, it really does not get much weirder than that does it? Oh well, happy playing if you decide to play this iconic sim that haunts players’ nightmares even to this day.
