Active Careers Mod: Take On Dynamic Jobs In The Sims 4!

Follow your Sims as they take on the daily adventures of their jobs with this awesome Active Careers Mod for The Sims 4!

What is The Active Careers Mod?

The launch of the Sims 4: Get To Work provided an immense innovation to our gameplay as it introduced us to the concept of Active Careers. Sims with Active Careers allowed us to follow them to their daily occupations and witness them fulfill their duties, instead of just watching them enter a rabbit hole and waiting for their work dismissal. However, the said expansion pack only introduced three Active Careers—a Doctor, a Detective, and a Scientist (Actors and Interior Decorators later followed after the launch of other EPs).

But all thanks to KiaraSims4mods, we can now have more Active Careers! The said creator shook up the career system of our Sims by providing 11 new Active Careers in the game. Below, you can read about all these new proactive occupations!

1. Military Career

Protecting all Sims from various threats, this active career as a Military member lets Sims rise through the ranks, as they showcase their discipline, bravery, and strategy. Sims will start this active career as a recruit who earns 25 simoleons per hour.

2. Nail Technician Career

Sim nails need tender loving care, too! As a Nail Technician, Sims will get to pamper and beautify those nails, which will help boost Sims’ confidence, one manicure and pedicure at a time. For this career, the first position available is a Nail Intern who will receive 15 simoleons per hour.

3. Artist Career

With their paintbrushes and canvasses, Sims with this active career will let their passion color the neighborhood of our Sims, and will prove that art is more than just a hobby—it’s a career! In this trade, Sims will start as an art researcher earning 10 simoleons per hour.

4. Angler Career

This active career is for Sims who are fishing fanatics! Hook, line, and sinker, these Sims will live for the thrill of the catch. To enter this career, Sims will start as a Rod and Reel Rookie earning 10 simoleons per hour.

5. Politician Career Mod

As a Politician, your Sim has the potential to shape the views of and influence other Sims. Sims who take on this career will climb the ranks of a politician, starting from a humble Campaign Worker up to a National Leader.

Lifelong learning should be at the top of the mind of every Sim! So, if you have Sims who are passionate about knowledge, this career can be their scholarly playground! As part of the Higher Education field, Sims can become a Staff Assistant in the beginning, and work their way towards entering either the Administrative or Higher Education branch.

10. Firefighter Career

Deemed as heroes, Firefighter Sims are expected to rush into blazing chaos to save lives. With courage and skill, they need to douse flames and protect Sims’ properties as they do their jobs. But first, they will start as a Waterboy/Watergirl!

How Do We Install The Active Careers Mod?

Here is what you should do in order to incorporate the Active Careers Mod in your game!

1. Head to this page to view the list of 11 active careers from KiaraSims4mods.
2. Select the ones that you like from the list and download them separately.
3. Take note, for all the active career mods to work, you must install the required mods stated in the description. Each career requires different mods but commonly includes The XML Injector, the Basemental’s Venue List, and the Work Interactions Pie Menu.
4. After unzipping all downloaded files, paste them into your Mods folder.
5. Lastly, make sure that the use of mods and CC are enabled in your Sims 4 game settings.
