Fun New Sims 4 Kits Are Coming On May 30th!

Get ready! Two news Kits Are Coming, and sooner than you think.

A few weeks ago we shared some leaks involving the next Sims 4 content to be released, thanks to Twitter/X user anadius. Well, they’re back at it again and have shared the official confirmation that these new Kits are coming, releasing on May 30th. Let’s check it out!

Kits Are Coming – Riviera Retreat

First up we have The Sims 4 Riviera Retreat Kit. This Kit is about luxury lounging, relaxing in a high-end pool surrounded by rustic decor that will make you feel like you’re vacationing in your own private vineyard. One exciting detail we can see is that what we originally thought were just decorative rocks are in fact waterfalls, and there are multiple size options available. An item originally assumed to be a lounger for the patio is actually a new pool float style, and the large pergola seen in the leak is large enough to have a fire pit, dining table, or hot tub tucked underneath.

The vibe of this kit is “rustic” and the color scheme will likely stay away from bright and bold hues to keep up with that aesthetic, so we can expect lots of neutrals and muted tones here. It will play well with the Desert Luxe and Courtyard Oasis Kits, and there are lots of pieces from Jungle Adventures that would mix in nicely. Combine it with Spa Day to create a luxury spa where sims can get pampered in style (the golden pool ladder is perfect for it), or build a romantic, secluded grotto on your sim’s property where they can have some privacy to relax, socialize, and maybe have a bit of outdoor Woohoo.

Kits Are Coming – Cozy Bistro

Next we have The Sims 4 Cozy Bistro Kit. This Kit is all about building a cozy little place your sims can gather for a nice espresso or a bottle of Riverblossom Cranerlet Nuala. Taking a look at the teaser images, a few things stand out: a new piece of wall art will have old-fashioned ads for coffee and wine/nectar, the new bar has some gorgeous details like the metal rivets around the bar top, and the large shelf will be a combination of included decor items and open slots to place your own.

Seeing everything together, the Kit overall has an old-fashioned feeling with a slight art deco flair. The hanging wine rack looks like a perfect style match for pieces from the Vintage Glamour Stuff Pack and the furniture looks like it would blend nicely with pieces from Get Together. This Kit is built with bistros and cafes in mind, but we could see these pieces working perfectly in a patisserie or even a speakeasy-themed bar with all the art deco elements. And we love that Mortimer and Bella are there!

One thing to note, it seems that there are elements in the teaser images related to Dine Out, particularly the food item in front of Mortimer and the sims in both teasers seated at the bar with one eating and one looking at a menu. Does this mean there might be some sort of ordering element added with the Kit? Hopefully so, because it might not be as useful to players if Dine Out is needed to fully enjoy what we see here.

Is The Sims Getting Sexy?

With this season’s roadmap themed “The Season Of Love” and our first Kits focusing on intimate spaces and romantic potential, it seems like EA is all about the lovin’ for the summer. A TikTok by user Jeremy_GoneWild points out a potential leak to some upcoming content for Toddlers so the focus seems squarely on getting your sims in the mood to get them trying for babies, with new goodies for those babies on the way.

While these elements could be part of the upcoming “flirtatious expansion pack” as teased by the roadmap, more likely they will be in the other SDX drop or another content update coming this season. Either way, it looks like EA wants us to get our sims in the mood for LURVE!

Conclusion

This summer is the chance for your sims to romance and Kits are coming to kick it off! Meet your date for an evening coffee or a late night glass of wine at the local hole-in-the wall bistro to put yourselves in the mood, then head back to their place for a snuggle in a romantic private swimming pool. If they’re lucky, it won’t just be the night sky shooting stars out there!
