With the Enchanted By Nature EP, Sims are now at risk of contracting a number of Ailments. Here’s a list of what those Ailments are and how to cure them…if you even want to!

A world of Fairy magic is a world of natural chaos, and one of the ways this can now manifest for your sims is through getting an Ailment. As the name would suggest, ailing sims can suffer a variety of side effects when affected by an Ailment, but don’t rush to cure them just yet! You may find that specific Ailments are beneficial to sims, even for a short period of time. So, let’s take a look at what Ailments your sims can catch, how to take advantage of them, and how to cure them!
Enchanted By Nature Ailments
There are 8 different Ailments your sims can suffer from and several ways to catch them. Sims can pick up a contagious Ailment from a friend, family member, or coworker, etc. They can be affected by an Ailment if their Luck is low or they’re feeling Imbalanced. And of course, cross a Fairy and your sim might just find that they’re coming down with something.
Ailment | Effect | Pros | Cons | Cure Ingredients |
Burning Passion | Sims will overheat and can set things aflame by coughing. Also may cause a Flirty Buff. | Have your sim hang out at an enemy’s house and try to catch something on fire! Flirty vibes can also really set the mood. | Sims might burn up things they love or try flirting with an uninterested recipient. | Aura Petal x2 Sage x2 |
Emotional Void | Sims will have a harder time achieving strong Emotions, and affect those around them the same way. | This can come in very handy when putting your sim through an experience they might otherwise react harshly to, such as Fear when in a Haunted House or Anger after a hard day. | It will be difficult to motivate a sim to do anything requiring a strong feeling, such as getting them Inspired when creating art as well as being a major vibe-killer on dates. | Aura Petal x2 Basil x1 |
Gnome Lure | Causes Gnomes to randomly spawn around the affected sim. | Gnomes can be enchanted with Fairy Dust to help fix and clean things, which can be used to your sim’s advantage. | Naughty Gnomes may cause chaos around the area if your sim decides to disrespect them. | Daisy x1 Lemon x2 |
Greenie Meanie | Makes sims more likely to get Angry and be mean, but Gardening Skill goes up faster. | If your sim has a large farm or other gardening to do, they can breeze through their work (so long as nobody bothers them). | Your sim might pull a jerk move on someone they care about and potentially damage their relationship. | Aura Petal x1 Basil x3 |
Luck Magnet | Sims will suck up the Luck from those around them. | Makes your sim incredibly Lucky which can come in handy during socialization, crafting, and more. | Nearby sims will have their Luck sapped which can affect them negatively and even give them their own Ailments. | Aura Petal x1 Lemon x2 |
Simoleon Fever | Sims will cough up Simoleons. | Free money! | Hacking up cash doesn’t feel that great! | Daisy x1 Lemon x2 |
Creation Impulse | Gives sims a Dazed moodlet but increases the quality of crafted items. | If your sim’s primary source of income is through crafting, they can take advantage of the boost in quality for the pieces they make. | Dazed sims are hard to motivate to do much and they prefer to sleep their mood away. | Aura Petal x1 Daisy x3 |
Sonic Sinuses | Sims’ sneezes are so strong they destroy things around them, but in exchange their Handiness Skill gets a boost. | Repairing or Upgrading objects is easier. | Every time your sim gets a tickle in their nose, something is going to get broken! | Daisy x1 Sage x2 |
Curing Ailments
If you’re not in a rush and/or are taking advantage of an Ailment’s positive effects you don’t have to fret, as Ailments will go away naturally after a few in-game days. There are other ways to help though, if you want an Ailment gone ASAP.
Crafting The Cure
With at least Level 2 of the Apothecary Skill your sims can craft any Ailment cure at the Apothecary Table with the ingredients listed above.
If your sim has Apothecary Skill level 10 they can craft an item called Holistic Cure which removes all Ailments (among other things), or stop Ailments from taking hold in the first place with Celestial Protection.
Where To Find Ingredients
There are a number of different ingredients a sim might need to cure Ailments. Here’s where to find them:
Ingredient | Where to Find |
Aura Petal | Can be foraged in Innisgreen; purchased at Clover’s Seeds and Supplies; found in Basic Apothecary seed packets |
Basil | Can be foraged in Willow Creek, Sylvan Glade, Newcrest, Granite Falls, Windenburg, or San Myshuno (during the Spice Festival); found in Starter seed packets |
Daisy | Can be foraged in Oasis Springs, Windenburg, Magnolia Promenade, San Myshuno (during the Romance Festival); found in Starter seed packets |
Lemon | Can be foraged in Oasis Springs & Windenburg |
Sage | Can be foraged in Oasis Springs, Forgotten Grotto, Windenburg, Granite Falls, San Myshuno (during the Spice Festival); found in Starter seed packets |
You may also see these ingredients pop up in a Grocery Market Stall, and they can be purchased from the Apothecary Table directly in a pinch.
Other Ways To Cure Ailments
If you don’t want to craft a cure on your own, sims have several other options for ridding themselves of Ailments. Call a Naturopath and have them craft the cure in behalf of your sim, or ask a kindly Fairy to remove it for you. Alternatively, sims can visit the Moondrop Springs in Everdew to Manifest an Ailment Cure. And of course, they can always just wait it out for a few days!

Closing Thoughts
Just because a sim is ailing doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be a bad thing. With clever thinking and a little planning, your sim might be able to take advantage of an Ailment’s effects and use them to their fullest. Not feeling it? Curing Ailments is fairly (or Fairy!) simple, with several methods to choose from.
If you had to catch one of these Ailments in real life, which one would you pick and why? Let us know in the comments below and until next time, happy simming!
