With all the big news that’s come out about the future of The Sims 4, EA is already tapping simmers for ideas with the latest community survey.
EA recently made a blog post about the future of the franchise, which included confirmation that The Sims 4 will be getting support and updates for years to come. At this time The Sims 5 is not in the plans, with EA instead continuing to focus on Project Renee and moving forward with several other projects related to the franchise.
Community Survey Questions
The survey consists of 12 questions and takes around 10 minutes to complete. It asks players what gameplay elements are most important to them, what they expect from Expansions, what age groups they want to see more focus on, and suggests possible (but not guaranteed) DLC content for the future along with asking how likely you would be to purchase said content.

The following are all the possible DLC ideas as listed in the community survey. While this is not a promise of what content we can expect in the future, it gives us a good idea of where EA is at in terms of their upcoming plans and ideas:

More Than Just The Sims
As some of the aforementioned DLC ideas contain content that players have wanted for ages which has never been implemented due to limits of the game engine, it’s possible that we will see some of these ideas implemented in other properties or as spin-offs of the main game akin to The Sims Life Stories or MySims properties. It all depends on the type of responses EA gets from the community survey.
