The first step to using cheats in Sims 4 is enabling them. What you need to do is open a dialogue box in the upper left corner of your screen by simultaneously pressing these buttons:

• For PC – Ctrl + Shift + C
• For Mac – Command + Shift + C
• For PlayStation – L1 + L2 + R1 + R2

How to get promoted using a teacher career cheat?

There is one teacher career cheat that can help your Sims climb the career ladder without much effort. To help them level up, just type careers.promote education in the dialogue bar and hit Enter. You’ll be notified your Sim has successfully been promoted to the next career level! 

This cheat makes them level up only one level at a time, so you will need to type it a few times if you want to go from lower levels to the final career rank. Just like you can get your Sim artificially promoted using cheats, you can also trigger demotion. If you want to make them regress in their career, simply type careers.demote education and hit Enter. For instance, to get them from level 5 to level 1, type the cheat 4 times and they will regress to the first level.

But, what if you don’t want to use teacher career cheats to artificially promote or demote your Sims? What if you just need some help to make them advance faster? Well, you can help them learn essential skills with cheats!

All Sims will need to learn Research and Debate skills on entry levels and start learning Charisma and Logic. Those who choose to go down the Administrator path will have to focus on improving their Charisma sill, while those who choose the Professor branch will have a task to polish their logic skills.
