Here’s The Love Triangle Mod — A Juicy New Mod For The Sims 4!
Love Triangle is a new mod for The Sims 4, released on April 2024 by fellow Simmer and popular mod creator, Maplebell. The little mod gives our gameplay an exciting and dramatic tweak, as it introduces the concept of a Love Triangle in the romantic relationships of our Sims. According to Maplebell, this mod is quite difficult to create. It involves a little overhaul of the romance interactions in the social pie menu (which sounds fuuuun)! So, now that it has been launched, let’s check out its features!
What Are The Features Of The Love Triangle Mod?
With this mod, our Sims can share a Love Triangle with their lovers. How does the process work? Read about the following!
1. Sims Can Have a Love triangle.
Once our Sims pursue romantic relationships with any two Sims, and each of these romance tracks reaches +30, the “Reveal Divided Heart” interaction will appear. Clicking on this will let our Sims choose two specific Sims whom they have feelings for, and it will also unlock the Love Triangle social pie.
2. There is a Center Sim And Two Love Interests.
The Sims who have two romantic relationships is considered as the center of the triangle, and the other two are considered as their love interests. There are separate interactions available for the centers and the interests. It is also important to note that being in the love triangle will involve jealousy, if there are any romantic actions done within the sight of the other Sim involved.
3. Sims Can ENd The Relationship, Or Make A Choice…
If the love interests of the center Sim become miserable, they may perform interactions such as “Express Resentment”, “Accuse of Playing Games”, “Demand Transparency”, or “Ultimatum” on the center Sim. If the latter is selected, the center Sim must choose to either end the relationship, or make a choice between the two love interests involved.
4….Or They Can Have An Open Relationship!
However, there is another option for the people involved in the love triangle. Both centers and love interests can suggest to have an open relationship agreement. This can lead to either an approval or rejection by the receiving end of the proposal. Depending on the outcome, Sims may become happy, flirty, excited, or embarrassed.
5. SIms Can Tell Other Sims About The Love Triangle.
If the entire love triangle situation is becoming too much for a Sim to handle, they can seek comfort or advice about their torn heart from other Sims. But they can only do this if they have an 80+ friendship level with the specific Sim. These interactions can be found in the Gossip/Other Sims menu.
How to Install The Love Triangle Mod?
We can let our Sims become caught up in the crazy whirlwind of love triangles by installing this mod by Maplebell in the game. How do we do tis exactly? Simply follow the steps below.
- Make sure to download the latest version of the Mood Pack Mod by Lumpinou, as well as the XML Injector.
- Download the mod, located in the bottom of this Patreon post.
- Unzip the downloaded file, and place it in the mods folder of The Sims 4.
- If there are any bugs experienced, report it here.
