Cross-Pack Compatibility Between Fairies & Other Occults (and More!)

Curious about cross-pack compatibility between Fairies and other Occults in The Sims 4? There are some pretty interesting interactions!

Whenever a new piece of DLC is launched for The Sims 4 it’s inevitable that players will expect a certain level of cross-pack compatibility—ways that the new content interacts with older content. For example, if you have Seasons and Island Living you can have Mermaids use their powers to change the weather, and if you have Vampires and Cats & Dogs your vamps can extract plasma from pets.

The new Enchanted By Nature Expansion Pack added a new species to The Sims 4’s Occult list—Fairies—and they have some interesting ways that they can interact with other beings. Check it out!

Cross-Pack Compatibility With Fairies

Here’s what we know so far regarding how Fairy sims can interact with other Occults:

Fairies & PlantSims

Fun Fact: PlantSims were created by Spruce Almighty (in a vain attempt to impress Mother Nature). As such, PlantSims and Fairies are kindred spirits in their own way. A PlantSim can request Water Healing from a Fairy sim which causes a small column of rain to fall on the PlantSim, completely filling their Water Need.

Fairies & Vampires

Fairies consider Vampire powers to be “improper dark Magic” and tend to start relationships with them on the wrong foot, even going so far as to argue with them about it. They can go so far as choosing to Absorb Vampirism which completely cures a Vampire, reverting them back to a regular sim.

Fairies & Mermaids

Similar to PlantSims, Fairies provide support to Mermaids via Water Healing that fills their Water Need. Mermaid sims may even occasionally ring up your Fairy, asking to drop by for a healing visit.

Fairies & Spellcasters

When it comes to using Magic Fairies are actually pretty elitist. Similar to their disdain for Vampires, Fairy sims find the use of Magic by Spellcasters to be unnatural and will call them out for it. While Fairies can’t absorb a Spellcaster’s ability like they can with Vampires, they will still start relationships in a negative way.

Fairies & Werewolves

To a Fairy, a Werewolf is a more natural being and thus they hold no prejudice against them. In fact, Fairies can help raging Werewolves with their Sooth the Beast ability, completely draining a Werewolf’s Fury and reverting them back to sim form. Like Mermaids a Werewolf may ask your Fairy sim if they can visit to calm their rage.

Fairies & Animals

There are other creatures in the world of The Sims 4 and like beastly Werewolves, Fairies have an affinity toward them. They can use their abilities to raise the needs of Cats, Dogs, Horses, Cows, Llamas, and Chickens. Plus, Cats & Dogs can be healed of illnesses. Fairy Veterinarians, anyone?

Conclusion: Fairies Are Very Opinionated!

Fairy sims have a very clear line they draw between what Occults they consider to be “natural” or “unnatural” and don’t want anybody else encroaching on their magical turf. When it comes to animal-based creatures such as fish-like Mermaids and canine-adjacent Werewolves though, they like them just as much as they do regular house pets and farm animals, and they vibe with PlantSims who share similar values. While Fairy sims can befriend pretty much anybody, there will be more work required for specific Occults.
