What is a Military Career in Sims 4?
Military career is one of the highest paying careers in Sims 4. This 10-level, full-time profession, was introduced in Sims 4: StrangerVille game pack in 2019 and brought with it two unique branches for Sims to explore: the Covert Operator branch and the Officer Branch.
The beginning stages of this career path require mostly physical readiness and leveling up the fitness skills. However, once they progress past the level 5 your Sim will need to work on polishing either the logic skill or the charisma skill.

Being a high-paying career, the military career is more than worth investing time and effort. However, sometimes you just need more control over how your characters progress.
Military career cheats can help your Sim get ahead fast, but also stay stagnant if that clicks with your storyline for them. Cheats can also help you build skills rapidly, so your Sim doesn’t have to spend ages on the treadmill, playing chess, or polishing the charisma skill. Now, onto the cheats!

How to activate cheats in Sims 4?
Using cheats in Sims 4 is simple. Once your game is launched, you’ll need to follow these steps to activate them so that you can start using military carer cheats:
- Open the dialogue box in the upper left corner – Press CTRL+SHIFT+C if you play on PC or Mac, and hit all triggers if you play on Playstation or Xbox
- Type testingcheats true in the dialogue box
- Hit Enter to confirm the action
It’s as simple as that! Now you can start using military career cheats.
How to get Sims promoted using cheats?
Let’s get the big one out of the way, first. The quickest way to cheat success in the military career, regardless of what branch you aspire your Sim to end up in, is to use the promotion cheat. To do that, just type careers.promote military in the dialogue box, and confirm the action by pressing Enter.
This military career cheat will make them progress one level at a time and you can use it as many times as you need to get them to a desired level. For instance, if you want your Sim to go from level 1 to level 4, you’ll need to type the cheat 3 times. Or if you want them to skip all levels and reach the top of a branch from level 1, you’ll need to type the code 9 times to get the desired outcome.
How to get Sims demoted using cheats?
In contrast to the promotion cheat, there is also a demotion military career cheat that will help you keep your Sim stuck at a desired career level forever, and even make them go a few steps back. It works just like the promotion code, just in reverse. So, to get your Sim demoted, simply use careers.demote military.
This military career cheat will instantly get them demoted, one level at a time. So, if they were level 8, the cheat would take them back to level 7. Use it as many times as you like to get to a lower career level.
How to use cheats to improve key skills for advancing in the Military career?
Advancing in the Military career in Sims 4 is all about nailing three key skills: the fitness skill, the logic skill, and the charisma skill. While the fitness skill is a must for all entry levels, Sims who choose the Covert Operator branch will need to work on the logic skill, and those who pick the Officer branch will need to master the charisma skill. Here are the skill cheats to help them get ahead:
- To level up the Fitness skill – stats.set_skill_level Skill_Fitness #
- To level up the Charisma skill – stats.set_skill_level Major_Charisma #
- To level up the Logic skill – stats.set_skill_level Major_Logic #
How to use skill cheats: Replace the ”#” symbol with any number from 1-10 depending on what skill level you want the Sim to reach. For instance, if you want them to get to level 8 of logic skill, just type stats.set_skill_level Major_Logic 8, and they’ll instantly skip to level 8, regardless of what their initial skill level was. The method is the same for all three skills. Easy!
