Would you like to change your Sim’s lifestyle? Well, lifestyle cheats will help you do that in a blink of an eye! Read on to learn how to activate these handy Sims 4 codes and discover how they work!
what are lifestyles in Sims 4?
If you have the Sims 4: Snowy Escape installed, you’ve likely noticed a special section called ”Lifestyles” under the traits info in the Simology panel. These are additional personality characteristics Sims can acquire by repeating specific actions. The more they repeat a set of actions, the more likely they are to develop a lifestyle. It’s much like forming habits. Sims who constantly eat junk foods are likely to develop a ”Junk Food Friend” lifestyle over time!
Once acquired, these new habbits will have an impact on Sim’s moodlets, needs decay, and work performance, and will dictate how they want to live their lives. A Sim can have only three lifestyles. Once they accumulate enough points (100) for a specific lifestyle, they will fully acquire it and you’ll be able to see it in the lifestyle section.
Now, let’s see how to change or assign these lifestyles to your Sim – with and without lifestyle cheats!
can you change lifestyles without cheats?
Overall, the lifestyle will fade away eventually if your Sim fails to live up to it and stops engaging in activities that trigger it. One way to change them without using lifestyle cheats is to consciously and repeatedly command your Sim to choose actions that build other habits. For instance, if a Sims with a Sedentary lifestyle frequently does high-energy activities, they may abandon the Sedentary lifestyle over time.
Another way to change this without lifestyle cheats is to purchase a Lifestyle-Go-Poof potion from a reward store for 300 reward points. You’ll find it in your Sim’s inventory, and you can use it to remove lifestyles. Alternatively, your Sim can schedule a Lifestyle Coaching over the phone. This will cost them 200 simoleons and allow them to start brand new, with a new set of habits!

What can lifestyle Cheats do?
Lifestyles typically decay slowly, so you will need to be mindful of your Sim’s actions if you want them to fade away naturally. This takes a lot of time, and unless you can purchase the Lifestyle-Go-Poof potion, there is not much you can do to change them – unless you use lifestyle cheats.
Cheats can help you add or remove traits instantly, and give you the full power to determine your Sim’s lifestyle regardless of how many points they’ve accumulated. Even if you use a Lifestyle Coaching service, it is much easier to use cheats to always keep your Sim’s habits in check. Let’s see how to activate and use those handy lifestyle cheats!

How to quickly add or Remove a lifestyle using cheats?
The quickest way to navigate lifestyles is to use the testingcheats true code only. Once this code is activated you can add or remove Sims’s traits with a few clicks. Here is what you’ll need to do:
- Make sure cheats are enabled like described above (testingcheats true must be on)
- SHIFT+Click on a Sim to open a pie menu
- Go to ”Cheat Sim Info” and from there, choose ”Remove Lifestyle” to remove a lifestyle your Sim has developed. You can use this lifestyle cheat technique to remove one or all lifestyles, it is totally up to you.
- Once the existing lifestyles are removed, you can now add a new one by going to ”Cheat Sim Info” and ”Add Lifestyle”, where you can pick any of the 16 lifestyles you want them to have.
Alternatively, you can add each of these individually using lifestyle cheats. You will find those in the table below!
