The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies has introduced a new NPC that’s sure to become a new favorite. Meet Trashley Reelpearson!

Before Businesses & Hobbies released, EA shared teasers and trailers to get simmers interested in the EP. One thing that immediately caught our attention was a mysterious figure clad in a floppy hat, long trench coat, chunky boots, and a full face of bandages. Who is this mysterious stranger? Whatever you guessed, we bet it wasn’t this!
Introducing Trashley Reelpearson!
The peculiar character we saw skulking around Nordhaven is a new NPC named Trashley Reelpearson. This “legitimate and normal” sim is a one-of-a-kind character you’ll want to get to know!
Who Is Trashley?

As far as your sims are concerned, Trashley is a strangely-dressed NPC found loitering in the alleyways of the modern district of Iverstad. When they’re not milling around the trashcans, Trashley also serves as the Tutorial sim for the Small Business mechanic. If you move a sim into the world of Nordhaven you’ll quickly meet them, as they stop by to introduce you to EP’s new features.

There’s more than meets the eye with Trashley, though. To your sims they’re just a quirky NPC but we players know the truth: Trashley isn’t an ordinary human sim. They aren’t an Occult either. This mischievous scamp is actually a stack of raccoons in a trench coat!
What Does Trashley Do?

Trashley isn’t just the NPC that explains Small Businesses to the player. If you pay a visit to their alleyway hangout you can purchase Trashley’s Boxes, which are mystery boxes that your sim can open in the hopes of netting goodies such as simoleons, rare collectibles, energy drinks, and other surprises. Sometimes your sims might get nothing at all! There are 3 different levels of quality with the higher-level boxes granting more goods when opened.
Trashley also sells “Business Opening Fee Reimbursement Forms” which your sim can use to be paid back the cost of opening their small business for the day; these forms may also be found in one of Trashley’s Boxes.
Why Would My Sim Want To Know Trashley?

Sims with “The Curator” Aspiration and those who like collectibles will definitely want to know this sim! One type of item that might be found in their Boxes are pieces of Trashley’s Certified Art; these are new versions of Base Game art objects that have been modified in fun and silly ways.
The following items are available in spoofed versions as part of Trashley’s Certified Art collection:
- Cop and Llama
- Coq a Peinture
- Floral Revelation
- Tragic Clown
- Womannequin
- Baby Dino Nursery Art
- Ceci N’est Pas Une Poire
- Blue for the Blues Wall Painting
- Mega Art
- Mystery Poser Antique Portrait
- I Otter Be a Star Pop Art
- Study of the Human Form
- Art in a Box
- Princess Cordelia Royal Bust
- Jazz Cats: Whiskers of a Forgotten Past
- Portrait of a Marriage
Trashley’s Boxes are one of the only ways your sims can acquire pieces from this collection!
Final Things To Know About Trashley
Because of Trashley’s unique role in The Sims 4 (and the fact that they’re not an actual person), they cannot move in with anybody and they can’t be romanced. This shadowy figure will forever remain an elusive source of information and goods in the alleyways of Nordhaven which only adds to their allure.
More on SNOOTYSIMS: Trashley Reelpearson might not be a romanceable character but that doesn’t mean your sims can’t get animalistic. If you want to take a walk on the wild side, try romancing a Werewolf!

Conclusion
Now you know all the fun facts about Trashley Reelpearson! If you haven’t purchased Businesses & Hobbies yet, Trashley is a great reason to consider adding the Expansion Pack to your game library. In addition to being a useful teacher for the EP’s new gameplay system Trashley is a resource for fun, rare collectibles and other useful goodies to give your small business a boost. Plus, they’re a super unique NPC that will no doubt rise to the level of love that the likes of Bonehilda and Grim have enjoyed for years.
