How to Use the Cheat to Set Skill Levels in The Sims 4?

Enabling Cheats

To use any cheat in The Sims 4, enabling cheats is required first. And the first step to do so is by opening the command console box. That is done through the SHIFT + CTRL + C combination of keys on your keyboard. Note that Mac users should use cmd instead of shift, and console users their four triggers on the back of the controller (L1, L2, R1, R2).

When the command console pops up, just type testingcheats true in the dialogue bar and hit enter. And you’re done! Now cheats are enabled in your game and you may proceed with adding the skill cheats!

Set the Skill Level Cheats

As we mentioned earlier, the main cheat that we’re focusing on here is stats.set_skill_level. This will be the primary thing you type each time you want to boost some of your skills and just add the one skill you want at that time.

Let’s take the Charisma skill as an example. To instantly set the Charisma skill to level 10, the precise cheat line would be stats.set_skill_level Major_Charisma 10. Please note that this works for any other skill in the game, where you only have to add the appropriate name of the skill you want to increase and the number 10 in the end.

Now, the number 10 simply means the maximum level you can set a given skill (some are only able to be upgraded to level 5). But, you can put any number between 1 and 10 and set the skill on whichever level you want.
