A New Sparkling Stuff Pack

We can’t be delighted enough when EA Games released its last stuff pack, The Sims 4: Home Chef Hustle, on September 2023. The said stuff pack helped our Sims create new homemade meals, allowed them to delve into pizza and waffle-making, and even made them get into the food stall business. Now, almost half a year after that launch, a new stuff pack is about to hit our game very soon!

Called The Sims 4: Crystal Creations, this is the very first stuff pack that the Sims Team will be releasing for 2024. What is so special about this stuff pack is that it delves into the interesting aspect of finding crystals, crafting shiny creations, and harvesting and experiencing the effects of these gems. The Sparkling Stuff Pack Reveal

In our news article on the second week of January 2024, we detailed how The Sims Team has released their very first roadmap for the year. Called the “Cause a Sensation with The Sims 4,” the roadmap teased the release of brand-new content for our beloved game. What made us especially excited was the mention of “One Sparkling Stuff Pack,” which included shiny gem and jewelry icons for its title card.

Then, on February 19, 2024, The Sims Team released a 6-second teaser on their socials, hinting that something exciting is about to drop on February 20, 2024, at exactly 8:00 PT. Apart from the date of the said release, the teaser shows a few gemstones on a rock boulder, while the rising of the moon can be witnessed in the background. The entire teaser had an esoteric vibe to it.

The Stuff Pack Trailer

The new trailer for The Sims 4 stuff pack is 1 minute and 51 seconds long. In the video, we were able to glimpse the following new features and objects of the pack:

1. Jewelry Crafting

Your Sims can now create sparkling pieces through the Gemology Table! Using different materials, such as crystals and metals, and picking from different designs and cuts, your Sims can craft over 1,000 variants of shiny new items that they can wear or gift to friends and family.

2. The Gemology Skill

As your Sims begin to craft brand-new crystal creations through the Gemology Table, they will be able to build up their Gemology skills. Over time, they will be able to craft more and more bedazzling pieces of jewelry.

3. Crystal Charging

Sims can find crystals everywhere! The powerful crystals unearthed by your Sims can then be charged using the Crystal Charging Grid, which utilizes the lunar cycle in the game. These said crystals will then have varying effects, either negative or positive, on the aspects of gameplay such as relationships and emotions.

4. New Objects

Apart from the Gemology Table, new Build Mode items are included in the stuff pack, including velvety sofas, crystal-filled mirrors, and other enchanting items. All-new crystals will also be introduced in the game, including Amber, Jade, and Moonstone. Now, there will be a total of 27 crystals to discover.

5. New CAS Items

Of course, what would be the thrill of a new stuff pack without the inclusion of awesome new CAS items? With the Crystal Creations, these new CAS items will be joining the game:

• Crystal slippers
• Leather boots
• Artisan clothing
• Hairs with hoops and pins
• Jewelry such as necklaces, rings, and earrings
