BEING A sPELLCASTER IN sIMS 4: Talent Points and How to collect them
Would you like to become a powerful witch or a wizard in Sims 4? If you have The Realm of Magic installed, this is more than possible. A spellcaster is one of a few occult life states in Sims 4. There are three ways a Sim can become one. They can complete a quest, be born as a spellcaster, or be made a spellcaster in CAS. Once they do, they will have to earn their position and respect by ranking up and mastering their magic.
The main currency this life state uses to advance is talent points. Talent points are essential for buying perks that allow witches and wizards to be at the top of their wizardry game. To collect points and rank up, your Sim would need to practice magic by dueling casting spells, and making potions. The more XP your Sim accumulates the faster they will get to the next level.
More talent points equate to more options to improve wizardry abilities. Luckily, there are shortcuts to acquiring these points and ranking up. The shortcut is to use spellcaster talent points cheats. Let’s see how!
hOW TO eNABLE CHEATS IN sIMS 4?
If you decide to use cheats in Sims 4, you’ll first need to make that possible when you launch the game. To enable cheats, you’ll need to start playing any household. Once you are in the game, open the cheat bar in the upper left corner of your screen by pressing these buttons simultaneously:
- For PC – Ctrl+Shift+C
- For Mac – Command+Shift+C
- For PlayStation – hit all bumpers (L1 + L2 + R1 + R2)
- For Xbox – hit all bumpers (LT + RT + LB + RB)
When the cheat bar pops up, try testingcheats true or testingcheats on (both have the same effect), and hit Enter. You’ll get a message confirming that cheats are enabled. And do you know what that means? You can start playing with the spellcaster talent points cheat! To close the dialogue bar, press ESC.
How to Turn Your Sim Into A Beginner Spellcaster Using Cheats?
Spellcaster talent points cheat can be used only on Sims who are already spellcasters. Luckily, there is a way to turn a non-occult Sim into one without even having to complete a quest, and that is by using a special cheat. To turn your Siminto into a spellcaster and start using spellcaster talent points cheat on them, and type traits.equip_trait trait_Occult_WitchOccult in the cheat bar and hit Enter. They should immediately become one and you should be able to see the Spellbook in the Simology panel.
If you ever wish to turn them into a normal Sim again, just type traits.remove_trait trait_Occult_WitchOccult. You can use the two as many times as you like.

hOW TO use SPELLCASTER TALENT POINTS CHEATs to rank up?
All spellcasters start as apprentices. As they gain wisdom and become better at asking for gifts, they start ranking up and collecting XP. Luckily, there are cheats that will help them rank up much faster than they usually would and help unlock perks from higher levels.
The universal code for that is Stats. Set_Stat RankedStatistic_WitchOccult_WitchXP NUMBER. All you need to do is replace the word ”number” with the number of points needed for advancement. Here are the cheats for each rank:
SPELLCASTER RANK | POINTS | CHEAT |
Neophyte (Rank 1) | 50 XP | stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_WitchOccult_WitchXP 50 |
Acolyte (Rank 2) | 350 XP | stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_WitchOccult_WitchXP 350 |
Adept (Rank 3) | 850 XP | stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_WitchOccult_WitchXP 850 |
Master (Rank 4) | 1550 XP | stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_WitchOccult_WitchXP 1550 |
Virtuoso (Rank 5) | 2350 XP | stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_WitchOccult_WitchXP 2350 |
Can you use spellcaster cheats to get them to the final rank right away?
Sure thing! There is a spellcaster talent points cheat that will help you jump from the lowest rank to Virtuoso in a few seconds. To max out the talent points, simply open the cheat bar and type stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_WitchOccult_WitchXP 3000. This will give your Sim enough points to become the highest-ranked spellcaster. Once you reach the final rank you can use this same cheat as needed to give your Sim some extra talent points. You will see +1 talent point added to the sum in the spell book.
If you need more talent points to buy perks, you can also use a mod that lets you have them all for free. Download it here!
Who are these cheats for?
You can use these cheats on any spellcaster, from teens to elders. Kids born to witches and wizards have magic in their blood, but can’t practice wizardry until they age up and become teens. No cheat can change age restrictions.
If you wish to make your Sim regress a bi, you should be able to use these cheats to take your Sim a rank down (or a few) simply by using a lower value cheat. You can use them as many or as little times as you need to reach a desired rank.
When unsure about how many points you’ve accumulated, you can always check it while in live mode. Spellcaster talent points, along with unlocked and unlocked perks your Sim has are all visible in the Simology Panel when you click on the spell book icon. You’ll find points right below the needs bars, and you can click on them to get more detailed info.
CONCLUSION
A serious spellcaster who desires to be on top of their game will want to have as many talent points as possible. This is how you can use spellcaster talent points cheats to rank up, max out their wizardry skill, or acquire enough points to purchase perks. Try them out yourself and happy simming!
