Raise the stakes on your less-than-graceful sims with the Random Injuries & Accidents mod by Wicked Pixxel!

Random Injuries Accidents

How many of us out there would choose the “Clumsy” Trait for our simselves? I certainly would as it’s a running joke between me and my loved ones that I am the clumsiest person they know; some of the ways I’ve hurt myself in the past are Looney Tunes-level ridiculous! For our sims, being Clumsy certainly has its own challenges but at the end of the day there isn’t really much that’s game-changing unless they’re fatally electrocuted or spectacularly fail a physically strenuous activity.

Enter the Random Injuries & Accidents mod!

All About The Random Injuries & Accidents Mod

The Random Injuries & Accidents mod introduces a new Trait to CAS called Poor Coordination which subjects the sim to random Buffs associated with minor injuries, much like your average Clumsy human might experience in their day-to-day life.

Examples Of Accidents

While the Random Injuries & Accidents mod doesn’t add anything like new animations, failure states, or anything like that, Buffs will randomly pop on Poorly Coordinated sims as they go throughout their day. This is pretty realistic for Clumsy folks though; oftentimes we don’t even realize we’ve hurt ourselves until later when the injury becomes more noticeable. Injuries range from simple things like a paper cut or tripping to more serious problems such as a bad fall, with your sim’s Uncomfortable Buff going anywhere from +1 to +10!

Remedying Your Sim’s Injuries

Every misfortune that might befall your sims with the Random Injuries & Accidents mod can be treated by reading the Uncomfortable Buff’s description. Most injuries sustained by Clumsy sims can be self-treated at home by clicking on your sim, selecting “First Aid Kit,” and choosing the remedy that the Uncomfortable Buff suggested. Sims can apply bandages or ointments, use painkillers and cold compresses, or get stitches through this menu.

If they suffer a Nasty Fall however, your sim will need Physical Therapy to help heal their bodily injuries. You can find the Physical Therapy Treadmill in Buy Mode for §3,300 and have your sim perform the Do Physical Therapy action to remedy their fall. One nice thing about this special treadmill is that it’s still placeable in Gyms so you can put once or two on a Community Lot instead of having to shell out all those simoleons to do it at home every time a sim gets hurt!

Once your sim has treated their malady they will get a “Time To Recover” Happy Buff.

More on SNOOTYSIMS: A more serious injury is one of multiple ways a sim could end up permanently disabled. Add more representation for your disabled characters and more variety/realism to The Sims 4 with CC designed to incorporate disabilities into your gameplay.

Final Thoughts

They say that variety is the spice of life, and if you’re a Clumsy one then you know that life can get really spicy sometimes! The Random Injuries & Accidents Mod is a non-intrusive way to pepper in a little chaos without risking any major harm to your favorite sims, and can even become its own hilarious talking point as your sim’s household tries to guess how they’ve hurt themselves this time around!

What about you, simmers? Do you plan on adding this realism mod to your own gameplay rotation? If you’re Clumsy IRL, what’s the silliest way you’ve hurt yourself? Sound off in the comments, watch for tripping hazards, and safe simming!
