There has been a lot of feedback about the new Ailments system from Enchanted By Nature and EA has listened: they’re working on an Ailments Toggle!

With the inclusion of the recent Ailments system in The Sims 4: Enchanted By Nature, sims can easily come down with a number of holistic illnesses that must be cured with the Apothecary Skill. Unfortunately Ailments can spread quite far and quickly, and complaints have already resulted in a game update to reduce the frequency and contagiousness.
YouTuber lilsimsie has tried to find the bright side of Ailments, but it’s definitely not easy!
An Ailments Toggle Is On The Way

It seems like the prior update still isn’t enough for some simmers, as it was announced in the Official Discord that the team is currently working on a toggle which will remove Ailment contagiousness completely. If you don’t turn off Natural Balance sims will still fall unwell that way, but if you disable Balance and Ailment Contagiousness you will essentially remove all ways for your sim to catch an Ailment on their own.
Your sims will still be able to get Ailments on their own by doing things like harassing Fairies, though!
Ailments Toggle Release Date
We don’t yet know when the Ailments toggle update will release. However, Enchanted By Nature hasn’t been out even a month yet and one tweak has already been made, so we anticipate it will be pretty soon. At the worst a base game update is scheduled for 19 August and EA could easily roll this change in with it.
What has your experience been like with the new Ailments system? Is the Ailments toggle something you’d make use of? Let us know how your game play has been so far with the new pack, and we’ll talk to you soon!
