The Sims 4 Board Game Is On The Way To A Tabletop Near You!

If you thought your sims have done it all, think again! The Sims 4 Board Game is coming this year!

PC, Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo DS, mobile, online…The Sims franchise lives on many platforms so it’s accessible to simmers no matter how they play. One thing that’s been constant throughout the 25 year series though is that sims have always existed as pixelated, digital beings. While we are eventually going to see our beloved characters cross over into the real world with The Sims Movie, you’ll soon be able to hold your sim in the palm of your hand with The Sims 4 Board Game!

Details Of The Sims 4 Board Game

The Sims 4 Board Game is being made by a company called Goliath Games. Goliath makes toys and board games for a range of ages, players, and time durations, with their current catalog boasting over 250 titles.

How Will The Sims 4 Board Game Play?

There aren’t a lot of details about The Sims 4 Board Game just yet, but here’s what we know so far!

While the official partnership between EA and Goliath Games was only recently announced, a rough-draft image of the game was accidentally leaked on their website a few months ago. The screenshot is just blurry enough that it’s hard to make out the details on how the game will work but the description mentions plumbob-shaped dice, and the image shows cards with sims’ basic Needs, Aspiration cards, location/Lot cards, and a board reminiscent of Willow Creek. There are also cards featuring some recognizable characters such as Bonehilda, Bob Pancakes, and Bella Goth, along with other sims that are familiar but not as immediately recognizable.

Based on this mock-up image the game will be made for 2-4 players aged 8 years old and up.

When Will The Sims 4 Board Game Be Available?

All we know is that The Sims 4 Board Game is slated to launch in Autumn 2025. Assuming they keep to the deadline the game will be available in time for the holiday shopping season, so put it on your list if you have any simmers in your life who also like tabletop games!

EA is adding so much to The Sims‘ repertoire to celebrate the franchise’s 25^th birthday and the idea of a board game just goes to show you that they’re not tired of trying new things with the franchise! We can’t help but wonder if there will be a board game Kit coming out in the autumn season to tie-in with this launch, which could be a fun & useful bit of DLC to have.
