Cheat your way to that promotion!
Life in The Sims 4 has a lot in common with life in the real world. There’s a lot of things to balance like relationships, hobbies, physical needs, chores, experiences, and income. Though the game comes with many different ways to make money, the most common is for sims to get into a career. Just like in real life, the higher up the career the more money to be made. Unfortunately also like real life, your sim needs to actually work on things to prove they’re worthy of a promotion.
Who wants to do that? The Sims 4 is a game, where players are free to do things the way they want to, and getting a promotion is no exception. Surely your sim has more important things to do than tedious tasks to make their boss happy, and with a “work performance cheat” they can shoot up the career ladder without any of the tedium!
There are two main factors that determine if your sim is ready for a promotion, Daily Tasks and Promotion Requirements. The Promotion Requirements are long-term goals like raising a skill or completing a project while Daily Tasks are the thing that’s going to push up their work performance, which needs to be “Good” or better for a promotion to happen. Sims can further boost their career performance by going to work in the ideal mood or utilizing Aspiration Reward Traits (such as Entrepreneurial, Connections, or Professional Slacker), but ultimately cheats are a much quicker and easier way to get there.
While there isn’t a single catch-all work performance cheat, your sims can circumvent their job tasks with a cheat specific to their career path. These cheats don’t affect work performance per se, but they will instantly give your sim a promotion each time the cheat is entered, allowing you to push your sim to the upper echelons of their career!
Every career has its own work performance cheat so be sure to use the one that fits the job your sim is doing. These cheats only apply to part-time and full-time careers, and don’t work for things like Community Jobs or one-off gigs. Simply enter the cheat while the sim in that career is selected for an instant promotion!
If, for whatever reason, you wanted to worsen your sim’s career performance, sub out the word “promote” with the word “demote” in any of the aforementioned cheats!
Why work harder when you can work smarter and use cheat codes to up your career game? If I could use a cheat to finish my work for me I definitely would, but since I can’t I’ll let my sims do it instead. Now it’s your turn! Give this cheat a try so your sims can focus more on what’s important to them, like their family, hobbies, needs, or even something as simple as taking a nice nap.
