Learn How to Invest in the Stock Market in The Sims 4!

Since the beginning of the game, many simmers have wished for the opportunity to dabble in the stock market in The Sims 4. This hasn’t been the most developed part of the game, and many of us know it will never be. However, it is still possible to invest in some stocks and increase your chance of profiting in a business career.

The stock market in The Sims 4 is also one of the most frustrating features in the game for many players. The reason for this is because very often, it seems like you work for nothing, without even getting a reply on how things stand on the market. For example, your Sim may view the stocks, invest in some, and then wait for results. But the results never come!

So, for many players playing with the stock market in The Sims 4 means losing money rather than gaining. But, don’t worry. Here we will talk about everything you need to know about stocks and investing, so you can make the best decision. Let’s begin!

The Stock Market in The Sims 4

Business Career

As you may know, the stock market is part of the Investor Branch, which is part of the Business Career in The Sims 4. This career path offers you a wealthy lifestyle, but only if you succeed in ranking up higher. If you progress and level up this career, you can become an important figure in the world of business and earn a lot of simoleons.

In this career, you begin as a Mailroom Technician with a salary of $16 per hour. It is a 9-5 job which mostly requires your Sim to fill out reports. However, once you rank up, you’ll become Office Assistant, Assistant to the Manager, Assistant Manager, Regional Manager, and Senior Manager. Each of these titles offers progressively higher wages, with the last one being a $75 per hour job. There are also reward on every level, like the interaction Brag About Job Title and the Tiny Tranquility Zen Garden item.

After rising above the first six ranks of the business career, you’ll be presented to either choose the Management Branch or the Investor Branch. The Management Branch focuses on making your Sim the firm’s president or CEO. And the Investor Branch allows your Sim to invest in stocks freely.

Both of these branches have four additional ranks that you can progress through. And both can reward you with some interesting items, like the Executron Executive Desk, for example. It’s worth noting that the Investor Branch can make you more money than the Management Branch, but only by a small margin. However, you’re going to need to choose the Investor one if you want to play the stock market in The Sims 4!

The two main interactions that we’re looking at here are Researching Stocks and Invest in Stocks. The first does what its name suggests – it researches the stock market in The Sims 4 and can give you a buff that significantly increases the chance of successful investing. And the second is the one you’ll be using when affected by the buff.

The most important thing here to realize is that you want to be always Focused when dealing with stocks. Having a Focused moodlet has been proven to increase the chance of receiving positive results from the stock market. So you always want to hunt this mood, before and while doing the job. This can be as simple as interacting with your Tiny Tranquility Zen Garden or another similar item that boosts your focus. For mood cheats, check this post.

Now, the stock market works like this. You can invest up to $5000 per investment. If you win the stock, you’ll receive money 2.5x more than you’ve invested. And if you lose, you’ll get 20% of your investment back. No one knows the chance of winning and losing stocks, but as long as you only invest when you’re focused, you can make an excellent profit.

The stock market is an assured way of getting wealthy in The Sims 4. The Investor Branch of the Business Career offers an exciting type of gameplay, despite being a job that requires your Sim to sit in front of the computer all day long. We recommend it to all Sims who aspire to lead an extraordinary life, with all exclusive things available to them. The reward you’ll get will certainly match this!
