The aesthetics and atmosphere of the late 18th and early 19th century Europe has remained popular even today, with television shows like Bridgerton, Victoria, and The Gilded Age being some recent examples of its place in pop culture. Pride And Prejudice remains a highly-regarded book despite being over 200 years old, and Victorian-inspired homes are popular enough that we’ve even seen them in several The Sims 4 worlds such as Willow Creek, StrangerVille, and Ravenwood.
Despite this time frame having some overarching themes there are actually several distinct eras nestled within the century, and today we’re focusing on Regency CC. The Regency Era (commonly accepted as occurring from 1795-1837) takes place before the Victorian Era, and was a more casual and open period prior to the stuffiness and moral rigidity of the Victorian years.

REGENCY REVERIE | Part I
This fabulous set has 15 spectacular items for Regency Era ladies! You sims can enjoy dresses, shoes, bonnets, and hairdos, plus accessory tops for even more customization. The overarching look of this hair is a bunned updo with side ringlets, but it’s got several variations to choose from. You can get a version of this hair in 24 EA defaults, and/or a version with 14 swatches which are essentially greying variants of the other version. Additionally, there is an edit that removed the bun for use under bonnets in both colorways. Depending on your preferences, you’ll end up with between 1 and 4 new hairstyles.

I’m going to be honest: I opened this hair in S4S to see how the back looked, and exclaimed “that’s beautiful!” out loud. This dramatic updo is elegantly wrapped up in the back with a cascade of ringlets falling from hairline to crown. My only complaint is that it hasn’t been color updated and only has the original 18 EA swatches.
