Extended Your Family in The Sims 4!
The way we usually play The Sims 4 is by first creating a family and then building a home for that family. And it’s been that way for as long as we can remember. However, one thing that most simmers can agree on is the fact that 8 Sims are nowhere near enough to be a limit for your family in Sims 4. But what can you do about this rule? How can you have more Sims per household? Well, that’s where the Sims 4 extended family mod comes into play!
What is the extended family mod?
The Sims 4 extended family mod helps you have as many Sims as you want in your household. Once you install it, you won’t have to worry about limiting your creativity, so you can add more and more Sims as you go along. This is especially helpful if you like to stick with one family until the end. Or if you play a family that has humans, aliens, vampires, pets, and more! And with the Sims 4 extended family mod you can increase the maximum limit of Sims per household and fit them all in one place!
Let’s check how this mod works!
Sims 4 Extended Family Mod: An Overview
The mod that we use to extend our Sims 4 family in 2021 is “Full House Mod”. This is a very popular mod within the Sims 4 community because it’s been a part of the game since 2014. Its creator is TwistedMexi, one of the most famous mods creators on the internet as well. Only on ModTheSims her mod has nearly 800,000 downloads, which is seriously a lot.

How to Extend Your Family?
The Full House Mod increases the limit to 24 Sims per household. And you simply need to download and install the mod to have this effect. You don’t have to do any additional operations, so it’s really just plug-and-play.
In our experience, we’ve found that 24 slots are really enough for any type of family, including pets, aliens, ghosts, and whatnot. The creator has purposefully put this number in place, just to make sure that the game will run smoothly on any computer.
But some people complain that the new limit of 24 Sims per household is not good either. And we can understand that because someone might want to house up to 100 Sims in one house. So that’s why you have the option to remove even that rule and have as many Sims as you want in your home.
Here are the cheats included in the Sims 4 extended family mod:
- tm.fullhouse “Kenny G” Williams – removes the “25 Sims per household” rule and lets you have as many Sims in your home as you want.
- tm.fullhouse <firstname> <lastname> – adds one more Sim to your household.
- tm.deletesim <firstname> <lastname> – lets you delete a Sim by only inserting the name.
How to Download and Install Mods and CC?
Even though the Sims 4 extended family is a very simple mod, you’ll still need to know how to install it. A lot of people struggle to make mods and CC work in TS4, especially those that are new. These steps will help you figure out how the process usually goes. Follow them to successfully install any mod or CC you may have found on the internet.
- 1 Step: Extract the download mod file.
- 2 Step: Copy the new file and paste it into your Mods folder inside your Sims 4 destination.
- 3 Step: Allow “Script Mods and Custom Content” in your game options.
- 4 Step: Restart the game.
Conclusion
The Sims 4 extended family mod is one of the easiest extensions you can find out there. It’s also one of the most helpful mods since it solves one of the most fundamental problems in the game. Having the freedom to increase your family in number and not worry about a silly limit is honestly amazing. And for those simmers that enjoy creating big families and building big homes, this is the perfect mod for you!
