For those simmers in the United States, the fourth Thursday of November each year is when we celebrate Thanksgiving. The cheery sanitized version of Thanksgiving is that it was a meal shared between early American pilgrims and the Indigenous people of the area celebrating their friendship and all there was to be thankful for. Although public opinion on how the Indigenous peoples of North America have been treated throughout history has shifted with time, it’s still observed as a holiday to be thankful for those you love and anything else you might take for granted throughout the rest of the year. It’s also the final day before Black Friday kicks off.
Thanksgiving celebrations are similar to The Sims 4‘s holiday Harvestfest in that we share a grand meal, thankful spirits, and often put up autumn decorations. The magical gnomes are purely a sims thing, though!
