The Sims 4 entertainer career was introduced by the Sims 4: base game. And has since then become a community favorite among all the career tracks in the game. But, how much do you actually know about this shining career? If the answer is close to nothing – you have come to the right place! Sims 4 Entertainer Career: Music & Comedy!
The Sims 4 entertainment career is one of many career tracks presented by the Sims 4: base game. It gives dreamers and creatives the chance to work as comedians or musicians in the wonderful worlds of the Sims 4.
Some of the existing townies in the Sims 4, already work as entertainers once you open a save file. These include Johnny Zest, which is an open mic seeker. Katrina Caliente, which is an opening act, Candy Behr, an open mic seeker, Joaquin Le Chien, also an open mic seeker. Then we have Dominic Fryes, an open act, Baako Jang, a stand-up star, Throne Bailey, a serious musician, and Brytani Cho, a solid storyteller!
So, if you really do not feel like creating your own Sim in CAS and entering them into the entertainer career – you could just start playing with one of the many Sims 4 existing entertainers! But whatever you choose, you better learn some more about this career first. Luckily for you – this is the perfect article for that! So let’s get to it.
Entertainer Levels
1. Amateur Entertainer (Level 1)
When you choose to pursue the entertainer career, your Sim will start at level 1, and be an amateur entertainer. At this level, they will work on all the weekdays from 9:00 AM – 5:00 AM. Earning themselves §23/hour, which isn’t too bad for a beginner entertainer. The daily tasks include writing jokes and practicing music. Furthermore, there are no promotion tasks or bonuses, and the pension is unknown.
Tips: To get your Sim to perform to their best ability, have them work while inspired.
2. Open Mic Seeker (Level 2)
At level 2 of the entertainer career, your Sim will hold the open mic seeker title. During this stage, they work every day besides Wednesdays and Thursdays. Earning themselves a solid §36/hour, by working from 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM. Here, the daily tasks include writing jokes and practicing music. Promotion tasks include achieving level 2 the guitar or violin skills. Your Sim can also receive a §451 bonus, which includes a “Porcu-Pro Business Card Holder”. However, pension is unknown.
3. C-Lister (Level 3)
Level 3 of the entertainer career, is titled C-lister. At this level, your Sim will work every day of the week, besides Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Working 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM, earning themselves §40/hour. And as always, the daily tasks include writing jokes and practicing music. Beyond that, promotion tasks include achieving level 2 of the guitar or violin skills. In addition to achieving level 2 of the comedy skill. Furthermore, the bonus stands at §541, and includes the “Sim Idol Rug”. But again, the pension is unknown.
Tips: Send your Sim to work in a playful mood to increase their performance!
4. Opening Act (Level 4)
At level 4 of the entertainer career, your Sim will be working from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM every day of the week, besides Sundays and Tuesdays. At this level, daily tasks include writing jokes and practicing music, as always. The promotion tasks include achieving level 3 of the guitar or the violin skills, and level 3 in the comedy skill. Furthermore, the bonus is set at §595 and includes a “rock of ages retro stereo”. But, the pension is unknown.
Tips: To have your Sim perform their best at work, send them off in a playful mood!
Comedian Branch Levels
1. Jokesmith (Level 5)
After being promoted from level 4, your Sim will get to choose either the Comedian or the Musician branch. If they choose the comedy branch, the Jokesmith will be their 5 career level.
At this level, your Sim will be working from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM every day of the week besides Tuesday and Wednesday. The pay is §67/hour, while the bonus is set at §937, and includes an “I otter be a star pop art”, and “try our material social”. Beyond that, the daily tasks include writing and performing routines. Whilst the promotion task is achieving level 6 in the comedy skill.
2. Solid Storyteller (Level 6)
As a solid storyteller, your Sim will go to work from 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM on Sundays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Here, the rate stands at §115/hour, and daily tasks include writing and performing routines. The promotion tasks include reaching level 7 of the comedy skill, and level 2 of the charisma skill. Beyond that, the bonus stands at §1,406, and includes a “you’ve got talent award”. However, the pension is unknown.
3. Rising Comedian (Level 7)
When your Sim reaches level 7 in the entertainment career comedy branch, they will get the title rising comedian. At this point, they will work from 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Earning themselves §172/hour. Here, the daily tasks include writing and performing routines. Whilst the promotion tasks include achieving level 8 in the comedy skill, and level 4 in the charisma skill. Furthermore, the bonus is set at §1,688 and includes a “studio equity track lighting kit”. Lastly, the pension will be §309.
4. Roast Master (Level 8)
During the roast master level, your Sim will be working a 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM shift, on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Earning themselves a nice §258/hour. Their daily tasks will include writing and performing routines as usual. But, their promotion tasks include achieving level 9 in the comedy skill, and level 6 in the charisma skill. Beyond that, the bonus is set at §2,532, and includes a “what a star you are wall mirror”. But here too, the pension is unknown.
5. Stand Up Star (Level 9)
At level 9 of the comedian branch, your Sim will be a stand-up star! Here they will work a 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM shift on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. They will earn §310/hour, but their bonus will be set at §4,612 and includes “perform comedy in space” interaction. As always, the daily tasks include writing and performing routines. Beyond that, the promotion tasks include maxing the comedy skill, and reaching level 8 of the charisma skill. However, the pension is unknown.
6. Stand Up Star (Level 10)
Congratulations, your Sim has become a stand-up star! Working from 5:00 PM – 11: PM on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays – they will be earning §474/hour. Since they have reached their full potential there are no promotion tasks here. However, the daily tasks include writing and performing routines. And, the bonus is set at an unbelievable §5,534 and unlocks “the joke starts here” styled room. Lastly, the pension is unknown.
Musician Branch Levels
1. Jingle Jammer (Level 5)
After being promoted from level 4, your Sim will get to choose either the Comedian or the Musician branch. If they choose the music branch, the Jingle Jammer will be their fifth career level.
Here they will work shifts from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Their daily task is to play an instrument, and the promotion tasks include achieving level 2 in the piano skill and level 4 in the violin skill. Beyond that, the bonus is set at §937, but the pension is unknown.
Tips: Send your Sim to work in an inspired mood to boost their performance!
2. Serious Musician (Level 6)
Once your entertainer Sim reaches level 6 in the music branch, they will become a serious musician. At this level, they will be working from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM every day of the week besides Sundays and Thursdays. Here, their rate is set at §78/hour, and the daily task is to play an instrument. Furthermore, the bonus is set at 1,165, and includes an “off the charts music award”. And, the promotion tasks include reaching level 4 in the piano skill, and level 5 in the guitar or violin skills. However, the pension is unknown.
3. Professional Pianist (level 7)
As a professional pianist, your Sim will be working every day of the week besides Sundays and Wednesdays – earning themselves §87/hour. The work hours are set at 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM, and the daily task is to play an instrument. Beyond that, the promotion tasks include achieving level 6 in the piano skill and level 6 in the guitar or violin skills. Lastly, the bonus is set at a whopping 1,282, and includes a “classical genius antique piano”. And you guessed it – the pension is unknown!
4. Symphonic String Player (level 8)
When your Sim has reached level 8 of the musician branch, they will earn the title symphonic string player. At this stage, they will work shifts from 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM every day of the week besides Sundays and Wednesdays. Their daily task will obviously be to play an instrument, and the bonus is set at §1,575. Beyond that the promotion tasks include reaching level 8 in the piano skill and level 7 in the guitar or violin skill. But pension is of course unknown…
5. Instrumental Wonder (Level 9)
As an instrumental wonder, your Sim will be earning §208/hour, by working 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM shifts every day of the week except Sundays and Mondays. The daily task is obviously to play an instrument – as always. Whereas the promotion tasks include maxing the piano skill, and achieving level 8 in the guitar or violin skills. Beyond that, the bonus is set at §2,272, and the pension is unknown again…
6. Concert Virtuoso (Level 10)
Bravo! Your Sim has reached the top of the musician branch! As a concert virtuoso, they will earn §340/hour by working shifts from 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays! Their daily task will surely be to play an instrument to the best of their ability. Here, promotion tasks are none. But the bonus is set at an incredible §5,089, including a “rock legend signed guitar”, new clothes, and unlocking of the “rehearsal room” styled room. Lastly, the pension is set at §816.
