The Vet School Mod by mod creator Dion brings immersive veterinary studies and career gameplay. Discover how your Sims can train to become vets!

Vet School Mod Adds a Full Academic System to Gameplay
The Vet School Mod by dion is not just another career add-on, it is a full-blown academic journey that completely changes how Sims become veterinarians. Instead of jumping straight into owning a clinic, your Sim now has to apply, study, and earn their place.
This mod brings a level of realism we honestly didn’t know we needed, especially for players who love storytelling and long-term saves.

A Realistic Application Process Your Sims Must Pass
One of the biggest highlights of the Sims 4 Vet School Mod is the detailed admissions system. Your Sim has to apply through the SimVet Academy Portal using the computer, and yes, it is as intense as it sounds.
They’ll need to submit a personal essay, a veterinary experience report, a recommendation letter, and their academic records. On top of that, they must pass an entrance exam and complete an interview before receiving an acceptance letter.
If that sounds like too much, there is also a cheat option to skip the process and get accepted instantly.

Vet School Mod Introduces a 4-Year Program
Once accepted, your Sim has to pay tuition, which costs around 50,000 Simoleons, and officially enroll in the Vet Student career.
The program lasts four in-game years. The first three years focus on pre-clinical studies, where Sims complete exams and academic papers. The final year shifts into active clinical rotations, where your Sim gains real experience working in a veterinary hospital.
This structure alone adds so much depth compared to the base game’s instant career progression.

New Skills, Traits, and Study Systems
The mod also introduces new academic skills like Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. Sims can build these through studying, attending lectures, practicing on equipment, and using the lab.
Once maxed out, your Sim unlocks special traits such as Medical Expert and Veterinary Scholar, which come with unique interactions and abilities.
It really feels like your Sim is specializing and growing, rather than just leveling up a career bar.

Clinical Rotations and Graduation Requirements
In the final year, your Sim will take part in clinical rotations at a veterinary hospital. You’ll need to place or create a proper hospital lot for this stage, adding a nice build and gameplay crossover.
After completing rotations and submitting reports, your Sim must pass a final exam and attend graduation. But even then, they are not done yet.
To officially work as a vet, they must pass the SimNation Veterinary Licensing Examination to get licensed.
That extra step makes the whole journey feel even more rewarding.

Mod Requirements and Compatibility
The mod does require Cats and Dogs and Get to Work to function properly, along with Core Mod Libraries from LOT51.
There are also optional packs like Discover University and Parenthood that expand the experience even further with additional gameplay features.
Final Thoughts
The Vet School Mod is one of those additions that makes you wonder why it wasn’t in the base game to begin with. It adds depth, realism, and a fresh layer of progression that keeps gameplay engaging.
If you’re planning your next storyline, this might be the perfect time to send your Sim back to school and start their journey toward becoming a veterinarian. Stay tuned on SnootySims for more new gameplay mods.
