Autonomy has also been thoughtfully implemented. Sims may decide to wash their faces on their own when their Hygiene need is low, during the morning hours between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, or whenever they are not assigned the Slob trait.

Portable Hand Sanitizer Lets Sims Clean Up Anywhere

The Wash Face and Sanitize Hands Mod’s second major feature is a portable hand sanitizer item available for Sims from Child through Elder life stages. Unlike the sink interaction, Sims must purchase the sanitizer before using it.

Once placed in a Sim’s inventory, players can activate the interaction either by clicking the sanitizer itself or by selecting the Sim carrying it. The item comes in three swatches and offers a convenient way to maintain hygiene while away from home.

Using the sanitizer increases the Hygiene motive similarly to standard hand washing and provides a custom buff afterward. Sims may also autonomously use it when their Hygiene need drops, provided they do not have the Slob trait.

A particularly charming feature included with the portable sanitizer is the ability to Offer Hand Sanitizer to another Sim.

When the sanitizer is inside a Sim’s inventory, clicking the object unlocks an interaction that allows the Sim to offer sanitizer to someone else nearby. It is a small addition, but it helps create more social and realistic moments during gameplay.

Functional Wall Sanitizer Dispenser Comes to The Sims 4

The third item included in the Wash Face and Sanitize Hands Mod is a functional wall-mounted sanitizer dispenser. Simkatu transformed a decorative object originally from the Get to Work Expansion Pack into a fully usable item.

The dispenser supports six swatches, including several newly created textures. Child through Elder Sims can use it directly by clicking on the dispenser object.

Its effects mirror those of the portable sanitizer, increasing Hygiene and providing a custom buff. The same autonomy rules also apply, allowing Sims to use it independently when needed.
