What Is Modsby’s Dropdown Menu?

Modsby’s Dropdown Menu swaps out the familiar Sims 4 pie menu for a dropdown-style interface. Instead of clicking through a circular menu and opening multiple categories, you can see more interactions together and scroll through them in one place.

The mod supports all languages and icons, while also giving players control over scaling and the maximum number of items visible in the menu. Scrollbars are included too, which makes larger interaction menus much easier to browse.

The biggest change is obviously the menu itself, but there are a few useful options packed into the mod. You can adjust the menu’s scaling and choose how many items you want displayed, making it easier to fit the interface around your preferred setup.

Wheel scrolling has also been mentioned, although the creator humorously admitted that figuring out how to implement it is still a work in progress. The testing builds have already introduced features such as View All and Search for supporters, while Mac support has also been added.

It’s nice to see this mod continuing to grow beyond a simple menu replacement, especially for players who want a more customizable way to interact with their Sims.

Modsby’s Dropdown Menu Updates and Compatibility

The mod has received several updates addressing functionality, compatibility, and additional features. Version 1.0.2.37 introduced a revamped cheat menu through Shift-click, while later updates fixed arrow key scrolling issues, a ModGuard issue involving temporary JSON files, and other glitches.

Version 1.0.3 added Auto-pause mod compatibility through testing, and version 1.0.4 introduced View All in the testing build. Mac support arrived in version 1.0.4.1 with help from deadlystingnyc, followed by Search in a testing build in version 1.0.4.3.

As for compatibility, Modsby’s Dropdown Menu should work alongside mods that add, rename, or reorganize interactions. However, mods that directly change how the vanilla pie menu itself behaves may not be supported. The creator recommends using common sense when combining UI-altering mods.
