Sims 4 mirror selfie mod adds custom selfie poses, Simstagram posting, flirty texts, buffs, and more for immersive gameplay.

Mirror Selfie Mod Gets an Exciting Upgrade for Simstagram Lovers
If you’ve ever wished your Sims could take those trendy mirror selfies like real-life influencers, the Mirror Selfie Mod by simkatu might become your next favorite download. This stylish custom mod adds brand-new mirror interactions that let Sims pose with a custom phone accessory while snapping detailed selfie shots directly in-game.
The Mirror Selfie Mod is base game compatible and available for Teens through Elders, making it an easy addition for almost any save file. It also recently received a major update that improves the experience even more, especially for players who love storytelling, Simstagram gameplay, and aesthetic screenshots.

Mirror Selfie Mod Adds Brand-New Mirror Interactions
Instead of using the standard selfie system, the Mirror Selfie Mod introduces dedicated mirror interactions that feel much more immersive. Your Sim can now stand in front of a mirror and take realistic mirror selfies using custom poses designed specifically for the mod.
According to simkatu, there are 25 feminine poses and 25 masculine poses included. There’s also a gender-neutral version that mixes both pose styles together, giving players more flexibility depending on their Sim’s personality and aesthetic.
The phone itself is not an in-game object. It’s actually a custom accessory that automatically appears in your Sim’s hand during the interaction. In simkatu’s version, the phone is designed as a ring accessory, while creator Karaiarai also made an alternate bracelet version for players who may prefer it.

Simstagram Features Make Selfies Feel More Interactive
One of the coolest parts of the Mirror Selfie Mod is how it connects selfies directly to social gameplay. The “Share Mirror Selfie to Simstagram” interaction automatically uploads the photo after your Sim takes it.
This interaction can reward Sims with new followers and even fame progression if you own The Sims 4: Get Famous. On top of that, there’s a 70% chance your Sim will receive delayed comments from friends a few in-game minutes later, making the system feel surprisingly alive.

Not every comment is positive, though. The mod also includes a 15% chance of receiving anonymous spam or negative comments, which honestly makes the Simstagram experience feel a little too realistic.

Your Sims Can Send Flirty Mirror Selfies Too
The Mirror Selfie Mod also includes a separate interaction called “Send Flirty Mirror Selfie.” This option only appears if your Sim already has at least a small romantic relationship with another Sim.
After sending the photo, Sims can gain romantic relationship points and receive flirty replies back. The creator included 30 different responses, helping the interaction feel less repetitive over time.
These social interactions also trigger several mood buffs during gameplay, adding extra personality to the experience and making selfies feel more meaningful instead of just decorative screenshots.

New Update Fixes One of the Biggest Issues
On March 20, 2026, simkatu released a new update for the Mirror Selfie Mod that made several important improvements.
The biggest change focuses on preventing the custom phone from disappearing during selfies, which was one of the most noticeable issues players experienced previously. Rings are now also hidden during photos to avoid clipping problems with the phone texture.
For players who enjoy using custom poses outside the interaction itself, the creator also added an “Attach Phone” option inside the mirror debug menu. This makes it easier to use the phone accessory together with Pose Player screenshots.
You Can Customize the Phone Color Through Debug
Another fun little detail is the ability to change your phone color through the mirror debug menu. To access it, players need to enable cheats by typing “testingcheats true” and then Shift + Click on a mirror.

From there, you can customize the phone appearance directly through the debug options. It’s a small feature, but it helps make screenshots and Sim aesthetics feel more personalized.
Simkatu also shared a few known issues players should know about. You’ll need to manually reselect the mirror after changing poses, and the camera position is fixed aside from zoom and rotation adjustments. There’s also a small animation snap before and after photo mode, similar to the base game selfie interaction.

Final Thoughts
The Mirror Selfie Mod by simkatu feels like one of those small gameplay additions that instantly makes storytelling more modern and immersive. Between the custom poses, Simstagram interactions, romantic texting features, and social buffs, it adds a surprising amount of personality to everyday gameplay.
If you love taking screenshots, building influencer storylines, or simply making your Sims feel more connected to modern social media culture, this mod is definitely worth checking out. With the latest fixes now available, it looks smoother and more polished than ever.
