Finding and Using Blueprints in Sims 4
Ever since the game was first released, simmers have searched for house blueprints. And if you don’t know what blueprints are, they’re essentially floor plans for your house in Sims 4. You can use them to plan out your build beforehand, which is pretty helpful, especially to newer players. So, how do you find and use blueprints in Sims 4?
Truthfully, you can find blueprints for Sims 4 anywhere on the internet. The internet is actually full of custom blueprints for houses and you can take any of them as an inspiration for your own house in Sims 4.
However, can you use house blueprints as a template in Sims 4?
You can’t directly insert blueprints into the game. Instead, you can look at them as examples and build your house according to them. You can either copy-paste the entire blueprint from an image onto your lot or you can build differently and use the blueprint only as an inspiration. And those are you’re the only option when it comes to blueprints and floor plans.
That said, let’s take a look at my 5 favorite blueprints for a beautiful house in Sims 4!
Top 5 House Blueprints in Sims 4
5. Tall Old-fashioned Villa
The first house I’d like to show you is this tall old-fashioned villa. It has an interesting exterior with little balconies and sharp roofs. The house is built on 3 floors which you can replicate in Sims 4. The whole build definitely looks like an old German-American house from the 50s or 60s. And if you like that style, definitely check it out!
4. Large Natural House
And the blueprints here are great for building a large house that blends into the natural environment. It’s composed of a great entrance, rooms along the side of the lot, and an open garden in the middle of the build. The blueprint suggests a pond in this garden, which you can also put. There are 2 garages, 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms, as well as a kitchen and study rooms. These are one of the best house blueprints I’ve used in Sims 4!
3. Modern Suburban House
The blueprint for this modern house is perfect for any Sim who likes to live in the suburbs. It’s in the European style and it has 2 floors. Actually, there are blueprints for both floors, so you don’t have to worry about that. There are 5 bedrooms in total, 6 bathrooms, and 2 storage rooms. In other words, everything you need!
2. Modern House with Garden
Here we have another modern house with a large open area for a garden and lots of plants. The blueprints show 2 sections on both sides of the lot. On the left side, you can build bedrooms and bathrooms. In the middle, you can decorate the space with many plants. And on the right side, you can build your kitchen and your dining room.
1. Simple House for Sims 4
And lastly, we have this cute little house you can build for your modest Sims. It’s not the most extravagant built, but the blueprint allows for a nice little garden in the middle of the build. It has a garage, a kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a large dining/living room with a courtyard in the middle. Check it out!
Finding and using blueprints is a great way to explore different build styles in Sims 4. Sometimes when you don’t have an inspiration for building, blueprints and floor plans can be pretty useful for at least starting your build. You don’t have to copy-paste all rooms exactly like in these blueprints, but you certainly can!
