Have you ever thought of installing Sims 4 on an iPad? You are surely not alone! Many players contemplated getting Sims 4 for iPad. Read on to learn all you need to know about this pair and find out if these two are compatible.
Sims 4 For iPAD: Are The Two Compatible?
We all know that we can play our favorite games on PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox, but what about other gadgets? What about the iPad? While players can get versions of earlier Sims series for iOS, the same can’t be said for the latest game series. For instance, you can get The Sims FreePlay in the App Store here.
Now, let’s get the big stuff out of the way, first. Unfortunately, the answer is no. The Sims 4 isn’t compatible with this Apple gadget and there are no official downloads or versions you can resort to to get it for this device. This applies to all iPad versions, no matter how powerful the device is.
However, this doesn’t mean you can’t have a lovely Sims experience on this gadget at all. There is an alternative that will allow you to play Sims on iPad. Stay tuned, and let’s see why you can’t get Sims 4 for iPad, and what’s your available substitution for the Sims 4.
why you can’t run sims 4 on iPad?
The key reason why you can’t get Sims 4 for iPad is that there is a system incompatibility, as there is no Sims 4 version supported on iOS systems on this gadget.
The Sims 4, together with its DLCs, is designed to work only for 64-bit (ideally) and Windows systems (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, or newer versions).
The only operating system created by Apple that supports Sims 4 is the Mac OS X version, reserved for Mac gadgets. Mac requires eOS X 10.75 and older. Unfortunately, the game can’t run on the iOS operating system on iPad.
can you get Sims 4 for iPad through origin or steam?
Unfortunately, you can’t get Sims 4 through Origin for an iPad, as the game isn’t designed for this device and you won’t be able to play it. However, there is a way to use Steam Link App to connect the iPad with your PC. You can find more information about how to use Steam Link to connect with an iPod here.
Steam Link app allows you to play Sims, or do pretty much anything else on the iPad through the screen mirroring method, but this can only work if you already have Sims 4 installed on PC. If you have a Mac, you can do something similar, and try to use its built-in screen-mirroring feature in display settings and choose your iPad device as the monitor you’d like to mirror. Below is the tutorial on how to screen mirror Sims 4 on iPad from your PC:
what are the alternatives?
The best alternative from the EA Games you can have is The Sims Mobile, which is available for both Android and iOS, and you can also get The Sims FreePlay. The Sims Mobile offers more and is more complex, so it is currently the closest to Sims 4 you can get for iPad. Although you won’t get the full beauty and the functionality of the Sms 4, it’s quite interactive and will do the job if you really want any sort of Sims experience on your device.
Will I be able to install it on my iPad in the future?
At the moment, it is still uncertain if Electronic Arts will go in that direction, and create Sims 4 for iPad. There are no indications we’ll be seeing it in the iOS store anytime soon. But, the EA has surprised us many times and in many different ways, so maybe the Sims 4 version for iOS is one of the next surprises? Fingers crossed!
conclusion
Unfortunately, Sims 4 lovers can’t enjoy their favorite game on iPad. We hope there will be a chance for it in the future, but until then, we can keep playing our favorite games on PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox.
