The Birthday’s Mini Mod introduces birthday-themed interactions, personal wishes, birthday messages, and little social moments that help make your Sims’ lives feel more personal and memorable.
The mod also includes an optional add-on that lets you assign birthdays by month or season, giving storytellers even more ways to plan their Sims’ lives. It’s an especially fun addition for players who love family gameplay, relationship storytelling, and celebrating milestones beyond the usual birthday party.
Birthday’s Mini Mod Adds More Meaningful Birthday Traditions
One of the main features of the Birthday’s Mini Mod is a new birthday tradition that lets Sims acknowledge another Sim’s special day through actual social interactions. If you own the Seasons Expansion Pack, you can head to the calendar, choose a date, and assign the Birthday tradition to it. When the day arrives, you’ll be able to select a Sim and choose the new “Assign as birthday sim” interaction. Other Sims can then complete the tradition by wishing them a happy birthday.
There’s also a “Remember Loved One’s Birthday” tradition, which Sims can complete by lighting a candle. These additions give birthdays a little more meaning, especially if you’re playing through family generations or creating stories centered around close relationships. If you don’t own Seasons, you can still assign birthday Sims directly through the Actions pie menu, so you won’t need the expansion just to enjoy the core features.
Birthday’s Mini Mod Introduces New Birthday Interactions
The Birthday’s Mini Mod includes several interactions for both the birthday Sim and the people around them. Birthday Sims from Child to Elder can make a birthday wish, complain about their birthday, remind others that it’s their special day, and joke about getting older. Teen Sims and older can also reminisce about their lives, while Child to Teen Sims can ask a parent to throw them a birthday party.
Non-birthday Sims get their own ways to participate, too. Toddlers and older Sims can wish someone a happy birthday or ask what they want for their birthday. Child Sims and older can compliment the birthday outfit, and Sims can apologize for forgetting someone’s birthday when the relevant situation occurs. Sims with the For Rent Expansion Pack can also give birthday money in Simoleons, adding another lovely detail to birthday storytelling.
Sims Can Receive Birthday Texts and Social Bunny Posts
Birthdays can feel a little lonely when nobody acknowledges them, but this mod gives Sims more opportunities to receive birthday messages. Teen Sims and older have a chance of receiving texts throughout the day from family members, friends, exes, and romantic connections. Depending on your storyline, those messages could be a sweet reminder of a close relationship or a fun detail for a more complicated Sim romance.
Don’t want to wait around for a message? You can use the “Check for birthday messages” interaction on your Sim’s phone and select another Sim to check for a possible text. If there’s no message available from that Sim, you won’t receive a notification. Players who own the High School Years Expansion Pack can also make a Social Bunny post once they’ve assigned a birthday Sim.
Assign Birthday Months and Seasons With the Optional Add-On
If you love keeping track of your Sims’ personal details, there’s an optional add-on that lets you assign birthdays by month or season. You can choose any month from January through December or select a season from Spring to Winter. To use it, click on a Sim, open the Actions menu, and select the annasiims mods category.
When two Sims have their birthday month or season assigned, they can unlock an additional “Ask when is their birthday” interaction. This feature is available for Child Sims through Elders, while birthday assignments themselves can be made for Infants through Elders. The add-on requires GenPie Menu and is completely optional, meaning you can enjoy the main birthday mod without installing it.
Birthday’s Mini Mod Requirements and Compatibility
The Birthday’s Mini Mod by 𝖺𝗇𝗇𝖺𝗌𝗂𝗂𝗆𝗌 supports Sims from Infants through Elders and is listed as compatible with The Sims 4 patch v1.128.90, released September 22, 2026, and previous versions. The creator also states that the mod shouldn’t conflict with other mods. It’s available in English, Spanish, and Polish, with the Spanish translation included in the mod according to the creator’s language notes.
You’ll need the XML Injector and Core Library listed among the requirements. The optional birthday month and season add-on requires GenPie Menu. The creator also recommends pairing the mod with More Icons and Ageless Birthday Remake. The mod is scheduled to become free on October 25, 2026, at 8 AM EST.
