The Universal Tip System mod gives your Sims a simple way to show their appreciation after receiving all kinds of services. Instead of relying on separate systems for different workers, your Sim can now choose a service, select a tip amount, and send the money directly to the Sim who provided the service.

Created by JayESims, the mod is designed as a universal tipping system that works across a huge range of service types. It also keeps track of your tipping activity, making those little interactions feel much more meaningful.

How The Universal Tip System Mod Works

Using the Universal Tip System is straightforward. Click the Sim you want to tip, choose Universal Tip System, then select the service category and the amount you want to give.

The money comes directly from the tipping Sim’s household funds and goes to the Sim receiving the tip. This makes the transfer an actual household money transaction rather than just a decorative interaction.

Tip Sims for 30 Different Services

One of the biggest features is the sheer number of services supported. The mod covers 30 different service types, including restaurant servers, bartenders, baristas, chefs, private chefs and caterers, gardeners, cleaners, butlers, nannies, repair workers, hairstylists, barbers, nail technicians, makeup artists, and tattoo artists.

It also works with DJs, musicians and entertainers, photographers, personal trainers, massage and spa workers, delivery workers, hotel staff, pet care and veterinary services, ranch workers, event workers, and travel or tour services. The service categories are organized so the tipping menu stays manageable instead of becoming a giant list.

Choose Preset or Custom Tip Amounts

Your Sims can choose different preset tip amounts depending on the service they are tipping for. Each preset also explains why that particular amount is being suggested, which makes the choices feel more connected to the service.

If you want more control, custom tips are available from §1 to §10,000. Whether your Sim wants to leave a small thank-you or give an exceptionally generous tip, the amount can be chosen manually.

Real Money Transfers and Protection Against Failed Tips

The mod handles tipping through actual household funds. If your Sim does not have enough money, the Universal Tip System includes insufficient funds protection, so a failed transfer will not accidentally take money from the household.

Tipping is also restricted to Sims outside your household. Same-household tipping is blocked, keeping the system focused on paying other Sims for the services they provide.

Track Every Tip Your Sims Give and Receive

There is also a handy tracking system for Sims who like keeping tabs on their generosity. Tip receipts record the service, amount, weekday, and time, giving you a little history of what happened.

The system also tracks recent tips, total Simoleons tipped and received, plus the biggest tip your Sim has given and received. This could be especially fun for Sims who regularly work with service providers or for players who enjoy keeping detailed stories and records for their households.

Bigger Tips Can Build Relationships

Tipping is not only about moving money between households. Bigger tips can also provide a small relationship boost between the Sim giving the tip and the Sim receiving it.
