If you’ve been enjoying the Everything Shower Mod, there’s good news. Everything Shower Mod creator kikovanity has released an update that fixes the shower cap issue some players experienced while keeping all of the immersive features that made this mod so popular in the first place.
Designed for Simmers who want more realistic bathing animations, this mod replaces the standard shower experience with a loofah-based interaction, optional shower cap use, and custom moodlets. It keeps the familiar EA shower functionality while making everyday hygiene feel much more believable.
Everything Shower Mod Update Fixes the Shower Cap Issue
Players who noticed their Sims getting stuck wearing the shower cap after bathing now have an official solution. Simply download the newest version of the mod, remove the old package from your Mods folder, install the updated file, and delete the localthumbcache file found in your main The Sims 4 folder.
After updating, use the Shower with Loofah interaction as usual. If a Sim still keeps the shower cap afterward, enable testing cheats and use the new Remove Shower Cap interaction, marked with the small loofah icon. This quickly removes the cap without affecting the rest of the mod.

The Everything Shower Mod was created to replace the immersion-breaking washcloth animations found in the base game. Instead, Sims shower using a loofah, creating a routine that feels much closer to a realistic daily self-care experience.
