Free Maker Drops are now available in The Sims 4 Marketplace, bringing six weeks of free CAS and Build/Buy content from creators!

The new Free Maker Drops program has officially arrived in The Sims 4 Marketplace, and it is giving players a reason to check in every week. Starting June 11, Simmers on PC, Mac, and consoles can claim brand-new free content created by some of the community’s most popular custom content creators.
If you love discovering new Build/Buy pieces and Create a Sim items without spending a single Simoleon, this limited-time event is shaping up to be one of the most exciting Marketplace updates yet.
Free Maker Drops Are Now Live in The Sims 4
EA has announced a new pilot program that will bring six weeks of free creator-made content to The Sims 4 Marketplace. From June 11 through July 16, participating Makers will release fresh content every week, giving players new ways to customize their Sims and builds.
Each creator has contributed one or two original items, ranging from furniture pieces to stylish CAS additions. The goal is simple: give the community more free content to enjoy while showcasing the creativity of talented Makers.
The best part is that these items can be claimed directly through the in-game Marketplace, making the process quick and easy for players on all supported platforms.
How the Weekly Release Schedule Works
The Free Maker Drops event will run for six consecutive weeks, with new content arriving every Thursday. However, each drop will only remain available for four weeks before it disappears.
That means players will need to keep checking back regularly if they want to collect every item released during the event.
The release schedule begins on June 11 and continues weekly through July 16, while the final claim period ends on August 13. Missing a drop could mean missing out on free content entirely, so it is worth keeping an eye on the Marketplace throughout the event.
How to Claim Free Maker Drops
Claiming the content is straightforward. Players simply need to open The Sims 4 and access the Marketplace through the Main Menu, Live Mode, Build Mode, or Create a Sim.
The free items can be found in the Free section of the Discover page or by sorting Marketplace content by “Free.” Once you select an item, you may see a “Buy with Moola” button showing a cost of zero Moola. After confirming the claim, the content will either download automatically or become available for manual download depending on your Download Manager settings.
Once the download is complete, returning to the Main Menu before loading back into your save will make the new content available in-game.
Meet the Makers Behind the Free Content
One of the most exciting parts of this program is the impressive lineup of creators involved. The pilot includes content from Serenity, Syboulette, Miiko, SixamCC, Taurus, ValiaSims, AlexCroft, HYDRA, BrazenLotus, Peacemaker, HAENBI, and Boschiana.
These creators are well-known throughout the Sims community for producing high-quality custom content, and now players can enjoy selected pieces directly through the official Marketplace.
According to EA, all participating content has been quality tested by The Sims team and translated into 18 languages before release.
The First Free Maker Drops Are Available Right Now
The event launches with two creator-made releases that players can claim from June 11 through July 9.
The first is Sit Next to Me by Taurus, a Build/Buy mini pack featuring a loveseat and matching sofa designed to fit into a variety of home styles.

Joining it is Velvet Bow Heels by Miiko, a stylish Create a Sim item available for feminine frames. Both items are completely free to claim during their availability window.

These first releases give us a good idea of what to expect from future drops, with a mix of furniture and fashion items designed to appeal to different playstyles.
Final Thoughts
The Free Maker Drops event feels like a fantastic way to celebrate the creativity of the Sims community while giving players something new to look forward to every week. With six weeks of free content, popular creators participating, and a simple claiming process, there is plenty for Simmers to get excited about.
If you have not checked out the Marketplace recently, now is the perfect time to jump in and claim the first drops before they expire.
