The home phone was the ultimate in communication back in the 80’s. If you weren’t out with your friends you were probably on the phone with them, and without call waiting it was your only line out into the world. Those were the days you’d fight your siblings for a turn with it, hope your parents weren’t listening in on another phone, and without caller ID they were a great source of entertainment if you decided to make a few prank calls.
