There's a new poll. This weeks question is which missing Sims 2 feature you would like in Sims 3. Click here to vote: New poll.
Last poll question was if you think EA gave a valid reason for the delay of Sims 3. Just looking at the large amount of voters (6355), it shows the strong opinions for this topic. And indeed, most people (51%), think delaying a game for marketing purposes is not acccepted by you. Just 7% is ok with it.

New movie 4 March

Pint Shot Riot in Sims 3 9 March
Yet another group was contracted by EA to have a song in The Sims 3: Pint Shot Riot. This will actually be their first song ever in a computer game.

Hands-on event
The official UK Sims forum posted a message that certain people will get the chance to check out The Sims 3. Each person will concentrate on a certain aspect of the game like CAS, Traits, the Neighborhood and others.

And lastly, TheSims3.com updated with many screenshots. They're not new, but I thought I'd mention it anyway since the official site gets a lot of criticism lately for not updating that often.

Misc. news 15 March
The New York times comes with an article about a new home design tool. There are more of these tools online, but this one is actually based upon the Sims!

"We discovered there were tons of people modeling their living rooms in the Sims video game," said Mike Haley, a director of engineering at Autodesk. "Now they can design realistic spaces."

Sims 3 for Iphone 17 March
The first info and images of the Sims 3 for Iphone have been revealed. For example that you can buy ingame items for a dollar a piece and that you can play your own music in the game.

Videogamer.com posted a new interview with MJ Chun. Especially DRM is discussed in big detail. They also talk about Traits and the possibility of the game on other platforms.

Info from Uk Hands-on event 19 March
The first info from the Sims 3 hands-on event in the Uk is posted in the official Uk Sims forum. Here's an interesting answer:

"How do you switch between families?"
You can change the family that you are playing by using the Active Household button. In the information screens it does say that if you elect to change the playable family then your current ones will have their wishes and opportunities removed. Then those Sims will continue to age and live as normal while you are playing the new family.

Sims 3 AI at GDC
Richard Evans, AI Engineer at EA will have 2 seminars at the upcoming GDC. He will speak about AI in characters like those in Sims 3. The talks are on coming monday and tuesday. It is unsure if information from these seminars are made public.

No DRM in Sims 3 26 March
Good news: In a note on the Sims3.com, Rod Humble wrote that The Sims 3 won't have the much hated DRM. There's no online authentication needed but instead a simple serial code to type in just like The Sims 2.
