Oh yeah, let me run out and buy a separate computer with all my spare money, just so I can have a rig to install a lousy DEMO on! This whole fiasco is too funny. Is EA trying to alienate customers???

I don't know what they're doing. But one thing is for sure: EA always messes up things! Even if it's a simple thing as a demo!

Is Origin safe to use? I haven't heard good things about it...

I'm conflicted between wanting to create pets and being worried that something major will go wrong.

With any other game I'd take the chance, but not with Sims 3 no way.

Yes, you can uninstall Origins and keep playing the demo.

So I tried to register origin so i could download and it was saying my email address is unavailable?

Yes, I realize it was written by a non-EA employee. I just thought it sounded so ludicrous.

You use your normal EA account, like mine is registered under my hotmail so I use my hotmail. You don't have to re-register for Origin.

So I downloaded the sims 3 pets demo....

I get to the main screen with the dog collar on it, loads fine with all the little icons and messages along the screen.

Then I get to the neighbourhood loading screen and it looks like it's loading fine until it (the green) reaches very very near (like it's mocking me it's so close) the right of the loading bar and then it doesn't go any farther no matter how long I wait.

It's starting to seem like they're doing this on purpose, they have a cruddy reputation to uphold after all. It wouldn't do to actually start doing things right.

(I haven't had any of the other problems, I seem to be able to load my normal game just fine and the saves appear, although I haven't tried to go into them but I assume they're ok.)

I've got the demo working - can i safetly remove origin now?

Yes :).

I managed to get it working, I just had to remove the mods from the package folder. Funny I didn't think it would effect the demo...

Will we be able to transfer our creations to the actual Sims 3 Pets game when it comes out?

I'm going to remove origin later today.

You can share your pets and upload them at the exchange.

Those of you who have not downloaded CAP Demo or are avoiding to use Origin, there is an alternative way to try out the demo using Amazon and Gamestop. Thanks to simsprograms for the info

I just noticed any store items I had in the game are now completely missing.

The family I was playing this guy was wearing a store item and now he's wearing one of the fugly base suits....so that's how I cottoned on fairly quick.

I don't know what to do....ugh I'm not in the mood to go reinstall everything -_- Any word on anyone fixing the problem without having to reinstall everything?

That's the demos evil doing :( My saves are still there, but all of my store items are gone, at least in the game. There is a way to fix this though.

Read the thread. There's solutions for most of the problems. It helped me at least :) And I hope that you also can fix the problem that you have.

I really tried my best getting all her markings right. The new layer system is awesome but can also be annoting sometimes, cause if you make the marking really small you can't movie it around. Wich is too bad cause I wanted to create lots of small markings on her head.
