It seems to me that they are going with a New england small town, southern Cali kind of architecture?
As for the name Appaloosa Plains? More like Appaloosa Plateau. I live on the plains. (they tend to be as flat as a board, not hilly with rolling cliffs. O.o

LOL Well I think they are trying to include a little bit of both (flat and hilly with rolling cliffs), I saw the neighborhood, and it looks awesome! I like how you can see the mountains off in the distance (even though you can't take your sims/pets there lol). It sorta of reminds me of Red Dead Redemption - just the beauty of it

I'm already preferring this world over every other one we've been offered! Hopefully there will be some lots that are placed specifically to cater for the pre-built Ambitions buildings that get placed when you first load the world, and not just dump them anywhere like they did in Sunset Valley.

I agree. Like I hope there is an empty lot in the middle of the town waiting for the confinment store, tattoo shop, and a place out of town for the junkyard.

This new world looks pretty neat, but I'm curious to see if we can place lots from the previous expansions as well. I don't recall seeing any of them in the trailers or screenshots, not even in the faraway distance. Either way... I just hope they make a better CAW soon, so creating new worlds becomes easier. Then again.... I still have to build at least 60 houses, a new gallery, a fire station and some fishing lots, so it's not like I'll be using CAW anything soon.

OH! There was a screenshot of the world and I confirmed my belief / hope that EA left spots for ambitions lots. I made a picture of it and itr's on my other computer. But they definately had ambitions in mind because there is just a random lot on a road turn PERFECTLY sized for the junkyard. And thats if the other lots don't convince you.

Finally!! EA is thinking ahead this time, I'm glad they left some reasonable empty spaces for all the Ambitions career-buildings.
Now all we can do is hope they won't make any last minute changes to the map before the release date lol.

Hmm... Well, I hate to sound like a party pooper, but then what about the LN lots? The world does look cool though. Different and nicely planned. But again, it seems quite small... Of course, it's probably somewhat bigger than the picture shows, but still too small to place everything. Lol... Guess I'm just trying to say I really, really want a new CAW . Finished another house today. 59 more to go :).

The thing about LN lots is that they are optional. For some of the careers to work in AMB, you NEED the junkyard, firehouse, etc.

Also that image is just of the raised/plateau area, there is a lot more land.
