 E3 2011!
Talk about this year's E3 here. I'm so excited for Nintendo's new console, just because I'm a Nintendo fanboy. Also looking forward to other surprise announcements and stuff. What about you all?

NGP, Kingdom Hearts 3D, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Type-0, Sims 3 Pets and Tomb Raider... those are the only things I'm personally looking forward to.

 Re: E3 2011!
Really hope to hear about all of these:
- The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii) (Mainly just the release date) - The Legend of Zelda: 25th Anniversary (whatever it will be) - Animal Crossing 3DS - Paper Mario 3DS - Super Mario 3DS - Mario Kart 3DS (Mainly just the release date) - Project Cafe - Super Smash Bros. 4 (I'm hoping!) - The Sims 3 Pets (PC)
I don't know if they'll talk about the PC version of The Sims 3. We'll see a little later today.

 Re: E3 2011!
Project Cafe, Tomb Raider, any 3DS games that might tickle my fancy, Final Fantasy and Uncharted 3. I wish Guild Wars 2 was showing, but PAX and Gamescom aren't too far away. I'm thinking of heading to Cologne for Gamescom with a friend, but we'll see.

Teqkilla wrote: Tomb Raider Really? They just showed it at Microsoft's conference and it was really nothing more than a moanfest. Completely unnecessary and random repeated moaning throughout the whole video, I must add. Talk about fanservice. Anyway, with that said, Microsoft's E3 conference was rather weak yet again. I'm really not into Microsoft Xbox's "hardcore" style games, but I know that they are what make the fans happy. This conference showed more than last year's, but it still turned into random Kinect casual title's for kids for the whole last half - until Halo 4. So I really don't think this will be Microsoft's best E3 in anybody's eyes. It's now up to Sony and Nintendo to recapture the audience's attention.

 Re: E3 2011!
I haven't seen the Microsoft keynote speech, nor do I plan to. Tomb Raider looks interesting but of course, there's not much information about it yet. I didn't really like any of the Tomb Raider games, so the whole "survival horror" direction it's stepping appeals to me.
EDIT: So...Wii U?

 Re: E3 2011!
I am totally getting the PS Vita, Wii U is obsolete when compared to the Vita.

 Re: E3 2011!
I'm pretty excited about the Wii U. Nintendo will revolutionise gaming yet again. People though the motion controls for the Wii was a novelty, but look at what the other 2 companies produced to match up to the popularity of the Wii... All it needs is a nice price and I'll be all on it.
The Vita looks pretty nice as well, but it's really what people expected from a handheld console. Nothing too game-changing with it. The only game I really want on it is Uncharted: Golden Abyss. It's not even priced that well for the Europe region.

Is that what you were meaning say? Anyway, I was pretty underwhelmed with Nintendo's conference. They did much more showing off the controller than they did showing off the power or any first party titles. I just hope this controller's better than the last one. I do not care for the Wii Remote. It's just a gimmick and never really added anything to the games for me. If anything, it drew me away from wanting to play them. However, I still am a bit more optimistic about the Wii U. No more friend codes and an improved online system and HD graphics. Nintendo will finally move out of the stone age. I don't really care what Microsoft or Sony does with their next generation consoles, I doubt it will make this console as obsolete as the Wii was. I was just hoping that they'd move away from the "Wii" title and the gimmicky controllers. Oh, well. It's the quality of the games that will matter in the end.

The 3DS has huge potential (Zelda, Super Smash Bros. 4, etc.), so hopefully we'll see more games and less... Cooking Mama. Although one concern I have with the Wii U is how much it would cost for a second or third controller... Wiimotes were running at $100+ up until a year or two ago, so a tablet with HD touch screen, cameras, microphone and speakers would be pretty pricey.

 Re: E3 2011!
I like Cooking Mama haha. The 3DS definitely needs new games. I'd get the Zelda remake, but I've already played it loads of times on the N64, so I really don't want to play it again.
But yeah, first-party Nintendo games tend to be really good. If anything, I'd get a Wii U to just play those titles. I hear that the Wii U can only run one tablet controller at the moment. Maybe it'll change in the future.

Is that what you were meaning say? No, I literally mean it is completely obsolete as a whole when compared to the Vita... because if you look at it: Wii U: HD Graphics Console Power Supply PS Vita: HD Graphics No need for an extra console Don't always need a power supply to play And the Vita is much smaller.

 Re: E3 2011!
Wii U is a console, Vita is a portable. They're two completely separate things.

 Re: E3 2011!
Yeah, but the thing is; the Vita is just as powerful as the Wii U and it's a portable... so there's a big waste of money buying the Wii U... unless you like Mario or Pokemon.

But then there is the multiplayer aspect of the Wii U. But on a single player perspective, I agree with Erry.

Just as powerful? The Wii U is supposed to be more powerful than the PS3. Is the Vita more powerful than the PS3? To be honest, the Vita would be a larger waste of money for me. There are many more games that I'd play on the Wii U than I would play on the Vita. Not just "Mario or Pokemon". I haven't even played a Pokemon game on the home console since Pokemon Stadium 2 on the N64. I don't even see how you can say that. As if power is the only thing that determines whether a console is a waste of money or not. It isn't.

 Re: E3 2011!
By powerful I meant the whole machine, not just power supply. If I meant that then that'd be a stupid thought.
But yeah, the PS Vita is just as powerful as the PS3, and I honestly doubt the Wii U will surpass PS3's capabilities and if it does, then PS4 will surpass it way far. That was the case with the Wii... it was released a year or so before PS3/360.

That was the case with the Wii... it was released a year or so before PS3/360. People are reporting that the Wii U does surpass the PS3's power by a bit. Nintendo would have been foolish to do any less than that. And to be blunt, I don't care what Microsoft and Sony do with their next generation consoles, we're at such a point where the graphics are just so good already. How much better can they really get? The differences in graphics will likely be a bit smaller allowing for the Wii U to stay up there more than the Wii did. We'll see how this PS4 is and how it could "surpass" it "by far". You seem to really have something against Nintendo, and tend to believe that power is everything. I don't really get it. "If the Vita doesn't surpass it, than the PS4 will!" I don't care. As long as Nintendo gets taken a bit more seriously this upcoming generation I will be fine.
