While browsing the Sims 2 website, I saw the maxis tutorial on making a custom neighbourhood image for one's custom neighbourhood (which I shall now refer to as CN for speed). I personally have only made one CN, but it epic failed, one thing I noticed was the CN image was static, while the three base (and the three EP Neighbourhood) were dynamic. I also knew, for a fact, that .png files couldn't make moving images, .gif could, but apparently CN's only took .png.
I then hastily looked into the default neigbourhood to find a .reia file, but after looking through the internet, it is hardly known at all. Does anyone know of anything that could edit a .reia file. GIMP adn Adobe PhotoShop CS3 don't work, so I'm slightly confused.

Damn them, do you think they would give help if someone asked about them?

As an Update: I've tried changing the file into a GIF and a PNG, but when I did, they wouldn't open. And I tried changing a GIF into a REIA but that wouldn't work.

I'm guessing you could try different file types of videos to .reia, like get a free video converter and try converting to file types and then renaming the file extension to .reia and test.

Edit: Tried mpg and avi and they didn't work. How confuzzling.

Maxis confuses my mind. I just forgot about stuff like that and can deal with a non moving image of my town, or a photoshopped image.

I've heard of a lot of file types, but thats a new one to me.

Tis annoying because now I won't be able to use CNs, I want those images moving.

Is there anyway to open the .reia file? Like with a package editor or something?
